It might be a bit weird but I painted my finger nails with two different colors today. I put white nail polish on the left fingernails and black on the right. I can see people's reactions seeing my nails and I know it put good and bad impressions on their heads. Some may like, some may dislike but this is what I like. I just thought, if flip-flops can be different colors why can’t be the nails? Actually, it has been the foreigner’s wives’ latest fashion here in DC which started last week when we visited David's Salon. Every "get-together party", each of us should have unique nail colors to show. It is what can give us extra fun and excitement aside from playing cards. So, even if I’m not good at putting nail polish on my own yet I have to. I can't ask my husband to do it, it might just get worst. We are not doing it for bet; we are doing it only for fun. It is not a game where there can be announced winner. If it is then we are all winners in the end of having unique and freaky nail polish in the city.

I got this from Demcy. I just thought of sharing mine too. The meaning is so true.
Your Birthdate: December 22 |
You tend to be understated and under appreciated. You have a hidden force to do amazing things, doing them your own way. People may see you as strange and shy, but they know little. Your unconventional ways have more power than they (and even you) know. Your strength: Standing up for what you know is true Your weakness: You tend to be picky and rigid Your power color: Silver Your power symbol: Square Your power month: April |

We got remodelling going on in the house. All we heard today was the noisy sound of the drill and hammer. We are having a patio built on the second floor and having our windows replaced into double pane bay windows. We are tired waking up early in the morning by shouting people and crying babies outside. I am so excited for it to be done. Good thing the workers or the remodellers are quick workers. I have so much plan for the patio. I can hang wet clothes up there for direct sunlight and i will be putting plants. It's time for my green thumbs to shine.

We went to a party today hosted by a "Fil-For" couple in Polanco. It was the 59th birthday of the husband and their 16th wedding anniversary celebration. The highlight of the party was the roasted cow. It really caught my attention. It was my first time seeing a roasted cow. Actually i haven't heard before that a cow can be roasted. That's why i was kind of amazed, i was wondering what was it because it looked like a roasted man. LOL! Anyway, it is what we have for dinner. It taste good. To those who haven't tried it yet. Better try it now. Haha!

My first Sony Product is a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W200 Digital Camera. My husband bought it for me last year. It is really the best digital camera I have ever had. It comes with a rechargeable battery and the charger is wireless, which is cool because you can carry the charger with you without messing with the wires. So, it is very convenient that I can keep my digital camera safe while charging the battery. With the longer battery life, I have enjoyed taking photos and videos wherever I go for longer hours. The Sony Memory Stick PRO Duo helps a lot in storing more photos and videos. The best thing about this camera is it takes good pictures in different types of settings. Taking pictures is easy using mode dial, up to my desired function. I can as well edit my photos in the camera. I can crop and style photos using the various photo frames provided.
This is a picture taken in Palawan using my Sony Cybershot DSC-W200 Digital Camera

I went to Manukan (my hometown) today to celebrate the town's fiesta. Mom asked me to come because she prepared few dishes and roasted a pig's head, so i was hurrying home. My husband didn't feel like going out today so i went alone. It's been a long time since i last enjoyed our town's fiesta. I missed almost everything in my hometown-the happy, simple kind of living. As i was on my way i was expecting to see busy roads and crowded streets, full of vendors, buyers and visitors from other town. Of course, it can add joy to the heart seeing happy buyers getting busy along with the happy vendors and seeing happy faces of visitors for having full belly. Ohh..how i miss that! I miss the balloon vendors walking on the street with a bunch of balloons in one hand while calling "Balloon!" to attract the kids. I miss the ice cream vendors pushing that cart full of ice cream with different flavors while ringing the bell, tempting the kids to ask penny from their parents to buy. I was craving for cotton candy and the only place where we can buy those is at the amusement park. Oh, how i love playing games, going on rides and gamble. I planned on visiting all "ukay2x" stores too that house original clothes and stuffs at a low price.
To my dismay, i was just expecting too far from the reality. It was such a very boring fiesta at all. There were only few vendors along the street selling toys and other stuffs. If i am not wrong there were only five "ukay2x" stores. I did not even see balloons. Even the church is not that busy. I was wondering where the churchgoers are. The town was empty. I was hoping for a "5 years ago town fiesta". I guess I gotta wake up, it is 2008 now. I am not saying that i did not enjoy the fiesta, of course i did because i was celebrating it with my family. What i am saying is, i am just sad with the scenario. Where is the progressive Manukan now? I hope it is still there!

Halloween is over, i am just wondering how everybody spent their Halloween. Here in the Philippines we do not really practice Halloween party or Costume party but here in the Village where we are residing at they do since there are numbers of foreigner living here now too. I heared foreigners, mainly in the United of America used of celebrating Halloween that way. So here’s how we spent our Halloween:
The next morning, November 01, it was All Saints Day. I prepared some dishes I will use as offering for our small altar to be needed at night. I bought candles and fresh flowers as well. We (some Filipinos, maybe some are not practicing it) used to offer foods or drinks on our altar. Those are foods and drinks for the souls of our loved-ones, family and relatives who died, it’s a way of sharing it to them as a family. Aside from the offerings we also light candles on the altar together with the foods. Lighted candles are counted as to how many souls you welcome in your house or how many loved-ones you have who have passed away. We also light candle outside the door (door of course is open) to light their way in. The offering of the foods, the lighting of candle should be started at exactly 8 in the evening followed by Prayers for the Souls. I have grown up, learned and seen all these things from my family and relatives. When I was a kid my mom always does all these. It has been a family practice, and now that I am married I will be continuing this practice.
All Souls Day, November 2, of course I went home to Manukan and as what we used to do every November 2 , I and my family and this time with my husband went to visit all our loved-ones grave and offered prayers for them. It was my husband's first exprience celebrating Halloween like that too as if all the cemeteries were having a fiesta. Of course, that is how Filipinos give importance to thier beloveds who have passed yet they will forever be remembered. We lighted candles and stayed for a few for a little chitchat.
