1. How long have you been blogging? I started making an account in blogger on 2007 but I wasn't very active. I didn't know to move around the blogland during that time yet.
2. What made you start? I wanted to share my life story to everyone, I wanted to test my capability in English language and later on, I was curious about making money. Then I met Demcy on one of the forums in Friendster and they had this topic about money making through blogging. Demcy helped me to start blogging.
3. Who inspired you? The one and only Demcy, my husband and myself.
4. About how many hours a week would you estimate you spend on your blog? 16 hours everyday, at least. I spend more time with my computer than with the house cleaning equipments. Lol.
5. What kind of experience or background do you have with writing? Newbie. I used to write poems back in high school that's all. I never wrote a life journal or any journals like we do here.
6. Talk about how you come up with blog topics. Where do you get your ideas? Mostly personal life experiences.
7. What or who inspires you and your blog? Demcy and the few of my closest blogging friends (they know who they are), my friends here outside the blogland and of course, my family and loved-ones.
8. Where and/or how do your brainstorming for your blog? I watch TV but not literally watching, i am thinking. Then, i write down all the topics that come to my mind and chose which one I can write, share of talk about.
9. Do you have any blogging rules or guidelines you follow? No. I write what I want to write, don't care what others think about it.
10. Is there anything you will not blog about? Hmmnn? Don't know if there is any.
11. Do you have any sort of a publishing schedule in terms of day of week or topic? Yes, for memes.

Real Leaf Paparazzi

I caught a real Real Leaf green tea drinker early in the morning today. He is quite a fan. An avid fan actually since the first time he tasted it. Do you have any idea who this real leaf green tea avid fan is?
It is my husband, caught on the act! He was getting his bottle of Nestea Real Leaf green tea out from the fridge and …gulps! Real Leaf green tea started his day again, just like yesterday.
Real Leaf green tea is my husband’s top thirst quencher, health partner and source of natural energy since it is made from 100% whole tea leaves naturally packed with Theanine. Theanine is a glutamic acid analog commonly found in tea. It can reduce mental and physical stress and improves your cognitive ability. Consumption of green tea also reduces heart diseases. There are a lot more health benefits in green tea and drinking it everyday can indeed keep our mind and body healthy, refreshed and energized throughout the day.
If my husband is an avid fan, I am too. My husband and I started drinking Nestea Real Leaf green tea since the day it came out available at the grocery store that we used to shop. One of our reasons aside from the fact that it has lots of health benefits; it is manufactured by a trusted brand of beverages. Since then, our fridge is stocked with Nestea Real Leaf green tea.

Celebrating My Friends' Birthday

Last Saturday, January 23, me and my high school classmates celebrated two of my closest friends' birthday. It was not actually their birthday but due to their work, they can't celebrate it with the whole gang right on their very day that's why they set a perfect date to celebrate it.  It was just a little gathering and it was more on batch mates bonding moment. We all had fun as we reminisced the fun we had during high school.  It is nice to remember the teenage days.
The birthday celebrants prepared foods and drinks for the gang.  We had "kinilaw" or raw fish cooked or soaked only with vinegar and some spices. We had fish and pork barbecue,  boiled bananas with salted fish and of course, the most important, rice. We had drinks, the Bar. Drinks should not be absent when it comes to friends' gatherings.

Anyway, I would like you to meet Elben and Jusy, the two birthday celebrants. That girl in green shirt in the  picture above is Elben and that guy in black and yellow is Jusy.  Both of them are now 24 years old. Thank you for celebrating your birthdays with us guys. I had lots of fun bonding with you! I also thank hubby for letting me spend time with my friends.

CC: Have I Told You Lately That I Love You?

(Warning: The photos enclosed in this post are corny and cheesy!)

Wow, the topic today is quite corny, yes but hell, we’re in love. Who cares? I love youS? We’ve been eating this magic sentence since the first time we met and up to this very day. I am just too lucky to have such a loving, caring, respectful, trusting, trustworthy and sweet husband who never fails to show his love and affection towards me either inside our home or in the middle of the crowd. His faith and devotion was proven and tested. It is beyond words, in spite of my undesirable behavior sometimes. Just like what he said, he loves me beyond infinity and my worst cannot infect it.

Being corny is really a part of a relationship. I sometimes get so corny towards my husband and him towards me as well. Lately, we found it so awkward to utter corny words such as (1) I love you always and forever or I will always love you, (2) I love you baby beyond infinity, (3) you are the air I breath therefore, you are my life and everything I am, and (4) I love you buang, so so sobra. Those are just some of the magical and corny words we used to say. It feels so awkward to say these words already though, especially in this point of our lives where we passed the “NEW LOVERS” moment of corniness. Sometimes, saying “I love you always and forever baby” gives me goose bumps. It is just ucckk, cheesy! To hubby, sometimes he is shy to say it to me for he knows I’ll just tell him “corny”. I am thinking maybe because we see, kiss and hug each other everyday and we both know the love is still 100% even with the absence of those cheesy words.

Well our topic today make me smile because every day in our married life, I am hearing my husband asking me closely the same question every time we are on bed to go to sleep. His version is “Baby, did I tell you that I love you today?” Then I count how many times he said “I love you” and tell it to him or sometimes joke at him by saying “no” in a pity voice. Those are one of the corny moments we have being husband and wife. The corny sentence that we are using until now is “I love you buang, so so sobra!”. Although we are not using some of those corny and magical words we used to say back when we were new lovers having a long distance relationship, we are still that couple who was named as "the sweetest couple" by the Filipina-Foreigner couples here in Dipolog City.

Anyway, the question that I need to answer for the topic today is “When was the last time I look at my husband’s eyes and told him how much I love him and mean it?” The last time I look at my husband’s eyes and told him I love him was few minutes ago when he woke up. Actually, I woke him up. Lol. That’s what I do when I wake up earlier than him. I was lying next to him, watching him sleep and playing his nose. I thought of all the good things he have shared with me, those happy memories of ours together before we stepped up to the couple's pedestal and everything he went through just to win my heart.  He woke up and I told him that I love him from the bottom of my heart with full of sincerity. I kissed him after I said it as proof that I mean it!

A Modern Bed For A Modern Bedroom

posted by Rechie on

Who would not want a taste of modernity inside your home? I would not mind indulging our home with the luxury of modern furniture. If given a chance, I would like to modernize our bedroom. Why? It is a love nest, a comfort zone, as what they said. It’s a haven of your exhausted body from the long hours of work. So, why not give it a feel and look of a real haven? Well, our bedroom is really in need of a general modern make over.

To my curiosity, I searched online for a modern bedroom design just to get some idea. While in my search, I came across to a site that sells modern bedroom sets which is perfect for my modern bedroom plan. The characteristics of contemporary and sophistication are present in every bed they have, it may just be a platform or a dual platform beds. The perfectly crafted and designed headboards are all eye catching. Choosing which of the bedrooms sets was so hard that it took me a while to finally decide which one suits my taste.

Here is the set that caught my eyes:

It is the Enter Bedroom Set in Wenge. I love its harmonious color; it can blend well with any modern decorations inside the room. The designs are remarkable. The whole thing promises tranquility throughout the night and it’s what I want. Anyway, its standard set comes with Enter Bed in Wenge finish, 2 Enter Nightstands, Enter 6 Drawer Dresser and Enter Mirror.

CC: He Made Me Really Angry

posted by Rechie on

Rodliz’s Nest

The topic today made me think of the incident that my husband really got me angry. It took me a while to recall the particular incident when hubby really put me on fire with anger. I always get angry with him when he drinks a lot, when he smokes a lot, when there’s no food when I wake up, and when he doesn’t help me washing the dishes. Just little and nonsense things turn into a big fight and give us nonsense anger. As to what I can recall, the situation when hubby got me really angry made me break the cover of the water flusher in our bathroom. When I get mad, I can’t stop myself from breaking things. Hubby knows that. A very childish act it was but I am not doing that no more. I know how to control now. So ok, here is what happened:

It was the first 2 months of being married. Fighting was very often caused by little jealousy, little misunderstanding, and little opposition of beliefs. They said it’s normal for a fresh couple to undergo such things. One night, we were invited to a party in the old place of circus café (owned by an English-Filipina couple) by our Filipina-foreigner friends. Partying out was a usual thing we do every Friday and Saturday. Party, foods and drinks, oh we love it! I lurve it! All the husbands were on the long table having their beers while the wives, including me were on the other side of the table gambling (playing cards). I was darn addicted with “tonghits” even though I always lose money. We, the wives have beers too, of course! We had lots of fun.

Later that night we get too drunk. I got  drunk but not totally faded. I still knew what I was doing.  I was dancing  standing on my chair. I was just enjoying the music. Some of the wives and their husbands then started dancing too. I went to hubby’s chair to check on him and asked him if he wanted to dance. He said no and so he just hugged me so tight. I reacted and said a joke “not to tight baby, you are killing our baby”. That line of mine started our big fight that night. He reacted so badly to that saying why I jeopardize the life of our baby. Well, I was not pregnant and I was just joking at him. He was also thinking that I don’t want him to hug me, which is not true. Well, we were both drunk and we were both on fire driving us to a loud mouth fight. Thinking about it still give me humiliation.

One of the couples tried to calm us down. We did calm down and they took us home. They thought we were ok but when we reached home, more chaos happened. It all started with a joke for me and I can't believe it.  It was no big deal. I don’t know what his other issues are but for me, it was just a joke. Alcohol can really turn somebody stupid. Since he was drunk, he didn’t listen. I wanted to punch him but I can't. I went inside the bathroom tried to calm myself down but to my stupidity I lift the flusher cover and threw it down the other side of bathroom. It landed on the floor in broken pieces. The sound caught his attention, went to check on me if I hurt myself and was delighted I got no wounds. He swept the broken flush cover and totally cleaned it. That’s how our big fight that night started to end. Then we were asking forgiveness to each other for it was just a mere misunderstanding. We ended up taking a shower together and then we made love. Oh, married life!

Since then, he's not allowing me to drink too much alcohol but he is still allowed too much beer. That's not fair!
