Chie and Chiz's Fun Bedtime Story

posted by Rechie on , ,

This is my entry to Techie She’s Lucky Blogger Weekly Giveaways Week No. 1. This week’s prize is one year blog hosting sponsored by Sheryl of GEORYL.

Usually, a pen and a notebook or whatever that is used for writing down notes are present on my bed. It is always ready whenever my computer shuts down on me without warning. More often than not, my computer shuts down around ten or eleven in the evening and that lasts until the morning. So during the times when I am excessively carried away by the fun of blogging, I jump on my bed and continue blogging although I write my thoughts down from my conditioned brain on a pad paper. It’s fun! In the morning when I wake up, all I have to do is type the words down.

One night, Chizka and I had a fun bedtime bonding, a story that's worth to tell to anybody.

While I was writing notes down, Chizka kept poking me in the arm. I knew she needed her belly rub, back caress and neck massage that I always give to her every night before she sleeps. It is our evening routine already. What a fun life my dog has, hasn't she? Irresistible as she is, I gave in to what she wanted. After that, I went back to writing when she suddenly grabbed my pen. It was such an amazing experience watching my dog holding a pen like she wanted to write too. I had so much fun looking at her, was amused.

Oh really Chiz, you want to write too?

What are you going to write? Think, think and think! Come on, let it out and jot it down!
(This looks like she's thinking, right?)

This time she bent her head closer to the notebook,
kind of trying to write down something but she ended up inking the sheet.

My first move upon seeing her holding the pen on her mouth was to take pictures. I got to record it and share it. She really does surprising stuffs at times. She would just leave you open-mouthed reaction with her surprise moves and leave you  head-shaken with disbelief when you see her pee on the couch or on the bed. It happens when she doesn't get enough attention. Just like me, my dog has good and bad attitudes. One bad thing that we both have is having the "thick head". Lol. But one good attitude we both possess, we both know how to have fun and cheer each other up.

FTF: Super Yummy Mango Float

posted by Rechie on ,

It's time for a mouth-watering meme again, the food trip every Friday. I am not going to make a long post for food trip tonight because my sister is calling me downstairs at this moment. Time check: 10:46 pm. She wants to watch Bubble Gang with me. It's a gag show on GMA 7.

So, without much ado, here's the super yummy mango float prepared by a high school friend on the 11th of May here in my place. Due to privacy, I am not disclosing her name here.

It was so nice of this high school friend of mine to prepare this sweet treat while she was here. She had only eaten two slices and left all the glory to finish the whole tray to me. What a treat!  It took me two days to finish it. Yep, two days only for I couldn't resist it. Thanks dai, sa uulitin. Lol!

JB: Bunch of Beauties by The Walk Way

posted by Rechie on

Nothing beats the beauty of a flower, that's why today, as a make up post for all my absences to the meme, I am posting a picture of these little flowers (don't know the name) for all JB participants.

This was taken a month ago while having my lunch time walk with my sister at the boulevard. Flowers always capture my fancy, so whenever I have my camera with me, I won't dare let an opportunity pass to capture the beauty. Aren't these little blooms added a beautiful scenery on that little walk way? They were like bunch of beauties in the walk way that were performing an exotic dance as the were moving along the wind and that lonely red flower was their star dancer.

Toothache Attack!

posted by Rechie on , , ,

I've been suffering from toothache for weeks now. I blame it to this ice treat, halo-halo. Lol!

I feel the pain around ten in the evening when I go to bed or when when my mind and body are not active. My computer sleeps around 10 to 11 in the evening, it means I also sleep during that time so I would get up early in the morning to continue working on online tasks. Instead of getting sleep though, I am bothered with serious toothache. So what I've been doing around ten when my computer sleeps, I would just watch TV show (only GMA shows since I have no more cable) to keep my mind busy or I power my computer back up. If I get lucky, which is very seldom, I can continue working online when the computer starts back on. But during the time when I really have nothing else to do, I would just take pain relievers or endure the pain until I fall asleep.

There's one solution to this, have the decayed/aching teeth pulled. But it simply means absence in blogging for several days. So since the pain is still bearable (thanks to Omega Pain Killer that I use to rub on my forehead, neck and back when reflexed pain from toothache attacks), I would just bear with it.  Besides, I am currently working on something that needs not to be delayed.

FTF: Cheem's Little B-day Preparations

posted by Rechie on , ,

Cheem surprised me on the night of her birthday, which was on the 15th of May. She arrived at my place with her boyfriend looking for her cake. Silly! It was unexpected so I wasn't able to prepare foods for her nor bought a cake. Since they arrived late and stores were already close, we thought of just celebrating her birthday in the morning the next day.

Early morning, we went searching for a cake that has baby blue coatings, Cheem's favorite color. Luckily we found one.

At my place, I prepared my specialty, the pork adobo that I shared before at Food Trip Friday when Cheem also visited me. I wasn't able to take a picture of it for we attacked it right away. I also prepared some fresh vege shanghai rolls and bought a roasted chicken. Cheep made the mango float that lasted only two days inside my fridge.

So these are the only preparations on my younger sister's birthday at my place. My mother prepared for her anyway on the very day of her birthday so for sure she was fine with what I had prepared. I'm thankful she took time to come and visit me even though she used her birthday as an excuse to see me. Lol.

It's 'shoot me' time! I am not going to make a very long blog post. I only wanted to boast my new blogger shirt with words "Blog This" print.

I told you, as what I said in my previous post, I strolled around the city in this blogger shirt. Although it's quite big, I got it fitted on me by folding the hems. I felt comfortable wearing it so thanks to Kreativ Bootek and of course to Lainy for hosting a giveaway.

Monday Mayhem:Am I Nuts?

posted by Rechie on

Join Us for Monday Mayhem

I think I am. I could blame it to a recent situation that's driving me nuts. What I've been doing lately? I've been neglecting my blogs and not seriously engaging myself to them just to go out and party. Well, at least I am back in the mayhem. My excuse? I am down and weary! For what reason? I am not ready to whine it off in the blog land yet.

As to the side note, I am fine with the three questions and/or a video.

Q1. What was the thing you heard that was just plain nuts? Giving a reporter something to report.

Q2. What have you recently done that others may consider to be nutsNot eating all day and drinking alcohol all night long. It's what I've been doing.

Q3. When is it okay to be nuts? When you are drunk and don't know what you are doing, I think.

Go For Comfortable Undergarments

Our everyday wear is not complete without undergarments. I must say, undergarments are essential pieces of clothing in our everyday get-ups. Undergarments may be tiny pieces of clothing; still, we must take those that we are comfortable of wearing. Lately, I am hooked with calvin klein bras particularly the Seductive Comfort Customized lift strapless bra because it is comfortable to wear on strap less tops as it gives perfect fit and lift as long as you pick your appropriate size.

I also love the fruit of the loom undergarments for women. I always thought that fruit of the loom is a line of undergarments exclusive for men. But they expanded and now created bras, panties and active wears for women that guarantee comfort to women’s daily moves. For sure some of you ladies have tried wearing those hi-cut briefs or hipster briefs. I find it cool wearing under low rise jeans, having some of the brief garter peep out to imply a statement that women wear briefs too.

As to men’s, I saw an awesome place online for men’s underwear and active wear. It got nice boxer shorts and beach wears in there. Since summer is not over yet, you may want to jump in those O’NEILL and Hurley beach wears. Check it out now!

JB: Blessings I Receive This Month of May

posted by Rechie on , ,

When you receive blessings inside a parcel such as these in the picture below, what would be your first thought? Mine is, it's beautiful!
Above are parcels of blessings I received this month of May. The one inside an Air21 package arrived first at our guard house. If I didn't think of giving my dog an evening walk, I wouldn't know it was already delivered. The guard that night thought I wasn't home for whether I leave the house of not, my lights both up and downstairs are lit up.

Inside Air21 package is a tshirt I won from Lainy's 3rd Blogoversary: The Gavatar Contest. Take a look. It is sponsored by Kreativ Botique. Blog This! I so love it! I wore it today as I strolled around the city. Thank you so much to the sponsor. This is my second blogger shirt. The first one was also from Kreativ Botique

Inside the pink 2GO package is a pretty pink bag I won at Kurdapyaz's For The First Time blog giveaway.  It is sponsored by Kurdapya herself from Kurdapyaz Collection. Visit her collection, you might want some goodies on her collection such as this pretty pink bag. Of course I love it too. My sister saw this bag today and as expected, she wants it. Haist!
Thank you Lord for the blessings I receive and of course to the generous sponsors. I didn't expect to win all these but I hoped for it. Win or lose, I am grateful to the sponsors for their generosity and for letting me take my chance of winning. Thank you so much!

Protect Your Income While On Injury Leave

I am not allowed to get sick, it is a short yet meaningful sentence I often hear from people who are working to support their family, in short, people who have responsibilities. It simply means they are not allowed to cut off their income by taking a leave due to sickness or else their family won’t survive from daily expenses. Luckily, there is now an insurance that can protect your income when you can’t go to work due to sickness or injuries. The funds you can get through this insurance is said to be able to cover daily living expenses and even rent and mortgage, which leaves you at ease while on the road to recovery. Check out income insurance australia to learn more about it and if you plan on getting a quote.

Happy Mother's Day Ma and To All Blogger Moms!

Happy Mothers’ Day Ma and to all mothers here in the blog land! I want you all to know that my mother is the best mother in the world. She may be imperfect but she’d shared a lot of perfect moments with me. I love her so much.

I may be late in greeting my mom here online but I wasn’t late offline. I only greeted her through text message though because I couldn’t greet her personally. I know she understood why I couldn’t go home and celebrate Mothers’ Day with her.

Get Your Professional Salon Styling Tools

posted by Rechie on

How much do you care about your hair? Our hair is our crowning glory that is why, among my body parts, it is my top priority. We may have hidden parasites in there or scalp problems but at least we could maintain it in its place and in its silkiness. It is unavoidable to have bad hair days. During those times, we can seek help from hair fixing gadgets.

Usually, after getting off the shower, we would get our hair dry and one big help to that is a hair dryer. Then after, we would either straighten our hair or curl it. But what particular brand of hair gadgets are you using? Are you sure you are using hair gadgets that won’t award you tragic hair damage? You might as well seek help from hair experts like flat iron experts dot com, a site that is composed of hair experts and sells professional hair strengtheners and any salon styling tools. Don’t mistake with the name of the site because they are not just flat iron and hair straightening experts but also on hair dryers and curlers. Actually, they are featuring the best hair dryers and best curling irons on their site right now. They are as well offering free shipping on orders over $70 CAD. You might want to check it out!

FTF: Alberto's Hawaiian Pizza

posted by Rechie on ,

As promised in my post at my Whereabouts, here is a picture of what I ordered at Alberto's Pizza.
It is Alberto's Large Hawaiian Pizza. It tasted good. The toppings are all yummy. The only thing I don not like about the pizza is the crust. It's so soft that it tasted just like a big round of soft cookie to me. At least the toppings are to die for and the waiters are attentive and friendly. Pizza sizes available at Alberto's are single, medium, large and family size. Currently, they are offering a promo of "buy 1 family size pizza, get 1 free". I didn't avail the promo for there's no one I could share the pizza with. I even hardly finished my order, good thing Cheep came in just in time.

Wondering how I look like in my glasses? Wonder no more.

This picture is the only picture of me with my glasses on for never will I pose for the camera wearing it. I was unaware when this was photographed so whoever took this picture (one of my sisters is the suspect), she succeeded in taking picture of me with my glasses. When I first saw this picture though I was like, woh, I didn't know I look cool when I am serious! Ha Ha! I thought my glasses would make me look older but it actually made me look genius.

Obviously, I like the picture, thanks to the sweet culprit behind this stolen picture. Since I like the picture, I boasted it on Facebook and even used it at the primary picture of this blog's fan page there. Check out.

The Plan to Re-Tweak and My Back-up Eyes

posted by Rechie on , , ,

I am planning to re-tweak the look of this blog again. I am getting irritated by how dark this blog looks. I do not know if my eyes are just deceiving me as it happens from time to time but really, I am not happy with this current blog layout I am using. Okay, I blame it to myself…haha! I created a new layout this morning and I’ll be installing in here soon.

Now for my back-up eyes, I’m sharing a picture of it for you to see.

This pair of eyeglasses had served its purpose to me for almost four years now and counting. I only used these eyes when my original ones are in need of help. So far, the grade of the lenses still works although I am advised to upgrade. I refused because I am not yet ready to accept that my eyesight is slowly overtaking my grandma’s. I’ll upgrade eventually but not just yet.

Did You Watch The Royal Wedding?

posted by Rechie on ,

Have you seen me at the Royal Wedding? Lol. How I wish I’d seen it for real but I was glad Yahoo invited me to watch it live. It was just like watching fairy tale movies that have a happy ever after ending. Although I am not a fan of these Royal things as it won't benefit me but drool over their luxuries but I couldn’t resist the TV news here in the Philippines that kept showing it over and over again everyday.

Photo not mine

So finally, on Friday, I had the urge to watch it live on Yahoo. Watching the live footage of the royal wedding totally awakened my curiosity to the Prince and his royal family, most especially his mother, the people’s princess, Princess Diana. I grew up with her story from her wedding, to the separation and her tragic death. Although I wasn’t born yet on her wedding day but later I’ve heard of her and how she’s loved by the people.

To this newly wed royal, I just hope them to have a blessed union. I hope they will continue to wrap their marriage with love, loyalty, trust and respect. While watching the video, my eyes were pasted on Kate Middleton’s that is now Princess Catherine Duchess of Cambridge. She looked so beautiful in her simple yet very elegant wedding gown. She’s indeed a Princess! The wedding sure was a very splendid one and is every woman’s dream. We can only hope for their happy ever after.
