Rodliz’s Nest
When my husband and I first met, I did hope he would marry me in the future. I found him to be an ideal husband and a father when he played with my little cousins the first time I took him with me to my aunt’s house in Manila. I was dreamy while watching him gracefully running around chasing the kids. I could only make a wishful sigh for us to be a real couple raising and playing with our own children in the future, just a simple glimpse of us to look ahead. Every time our neighbor asked him if he planned on marrying me, I could only look at him anticipated to hear an answer I desired. Yet, he only once answered “we’ll see” to my disappointment.
Well, I guess his “we’ll see” answer was not that bad for he had seen me in the end to be his wife. Although I lose hope for us to be together in the future after we broke up, I was glad it didn’t take him so long to realize  he loves me. I was glad he had the gut to “crawl back” (his line) to me and ask for my hands and to ask an answer of a lifetime promise.

Now that my wish to be his wife came true, I could only glimpse of a simple future for us - that is to live peacefully and happily here in the Philippines. We will just build our new house here in Dipolog if we can’t buy the dream land we sighted. We will have our own internet café and a bar with a billiard hall. This unit I am living at right now will be rented out. When I turned 28 (supposedly 25) and have no baby yet by that time, we would adopt a boy and a girl but I do hope to give my husband his “the third”.
