It is good night for me now. I have to sleep..my eyes can't take it no more..visit you all later!

Good Afternoon everyone! I just got up. Yeah, I am not in my normal sleeping time again. I am back to US sleeping time, up at night, down at day in the Philippines. It is all good though because I had a great purpose of staying up 'til dawn. I was challenged yesterday to change the old layout of this blog. I was challenged by my own husband to change this blogs color theme using the combination of burgundy, our room's wall paint and our wedding motif with a touch of pink and white. Lol. The old layout of this blog was kinda immature and girly. So I was kind of agreeing with the idea. I need to face the truth that I am no longer a little girl now who would die for pink. I hope you like this blog's new template.

And...here we go!

1. I'm going to change the color theme of this blog into pink, white and burgundy or totally tweak the template as to consider hubby's suggestion.
2. I like trying new adventure and daring things in life.
3. Perhaps today you can make it a point to get something done.
4. That's a true adventurer’s spirit.
5. Compassion is not needed in time of war.
6. I'll do whatever you want me to do, no matter how difficult.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to stay up all night and start working on this blog's new template (already done), tomorrow my plans include sleeping and Sunday, I want to clean the whole house, that includes the garden!

I missed two weeks of sharing my shoots. I was quite busy with other things, one is facebooking. This week, I am sharing a shoot of me with my friends taken recently during our last get-together with our friend who visited us from Manila. In the photo are my friends namely Monette on my right, Jeziel on my left and Sysa, who is currently in Chicago on my back. We were instructed to pose seductively in this photo to seduce our camera man. Lol. But I was the only one who followed the instructions.

Modern Lighting For Your Home and Business

As days passed by, old styles also passed by and new styles are introduced. Although some people still stick to the things used in the old days as it reflect their taste but majority follows what our modern world can offer. Just like with home lighting. Modern lighting are mostly used in the present by modern houses, bars, restaurants and any other establishments. When you think of opening or building, for example a restaurant or your dream home that gives a contemporary or modern-day atmosphere to you and to your costumers, you should use modern lighting to complement you taste.

I found some sophisticated and very modern lighting by de majo that you can use for your home or for your businesses, it may be an office, a bar or a restaurant. De majo has light pendants which styles are really impressive and modern. Light pendants are great to illuminate every table in your restaurant or can be used as a main light of your dining room. If you want modern lighting for your walls or for your bathroom walls, de majo has those modern wall light as well.

If you want a flexible and versatile kind of modern lighting, single track lights by juno lighting are best options. Track lighting is very useful as it has several uses. You can use track lights when you need additional lights in your room, for aiming artworks or just simply use it as countertop and wall light. It is very handy to use and is very easy to install.

CC: What Are Our Talents?

It is time to gather together at Couple’s Corner again. This time we will be talking about talents. So here is my share:

Hubby’s talents:
Living with my husband for almost 3 years, I noticed that he possesses few skills which I considered as his talents. First is his being a number geek. It seems like adding, multiplying, subtracting and dividing numbers is a game for him while to me is a headache without the help of a calculator. Next is his green thumb. He loves it in the garden and the garden loves him.

When we started talking about our dream home last year, he drew a house plan complete with area measurements; the length, the width, the centimeters and square meters that blown my brain away. The house plan he drew is quite comparable to the house plans we found. He could have been an architect or an engineer if he didn’t choose to become a soldier.

Mine:
I guess I should not count how well I can dance on a balance beam. Lol. That was many years ago when I was still a gymnast, a talent that have given me athletic legs that I hate so much at the present. So okay, I first impressed my husband with my talent in singing. It was unintentional. I didn’t really believe I have that talent until my husband told me so after singing “Take My Breath Away” in a first videoke place we went to during his first visit here in Dipolog. So I guess I really have it too and not just my siblings. I know my siblings sing well most especially Cheem.

My husband admired me also for my determination to learn new skills on my own. He even called me quick witted because I learn fast. I have this attitude that once I get interested learning something that I want to learn, I don’t stop as in I don’t sleep until I can perfect it. One example is this template making for blogger blog. I will not sleep until it is done perfectly.

A Day Mare

I had a day mare today. Hmnm, is there really such thing as day mare? Well, I call it like that when it happens during the day. It was not the first time I wake up from a freaking scary nightmare and day mare. Sometimes I wake up seriously gasping for air after struggling to move my freezing body and to make noise calling my husband to wake me up but to no avail. I hate it when it happens. It scares me to death specially knowing that it ended my friend's life just recently.

Anyway, a day mare today happened at around 1:00 in the afternoon. I was resting because my migraine attacked me seriously that even two capsules of  medicines and a  tablet of pain reliever didn't defeat it. It dropped me down on my knees helpless. I already had it when I got up in the morning today  at 10. Plus my body temperature raised to 38 degrees for a reason I didn't bother knowing. After having my breakfast and doing some household works to sweat, I still didn't feel better so I decided to lie down and rest my eyes and body for a few. While lying down on bed I didn't notice I fell asleep. The next thing I knew is that I was struggling to move and to catch air to breath. My mind was awake for I heard my husband coming in and out the room. I heard him opening the refrigerator door and closing it. I heard him but he didn't hear me calling him asking for help. I continued my struggle and praise God I woke up right on time. I woke up sweating and breathing hard. Praise God, I am alive!

All of us can be called food enthusiasts since we all love to eat but only some are gifted to cook delicious foods. Only some find it enjoyable to be working in the kitchen just like the chefs and those who are aspiring to be a cook. There are also some who wants to cook good and delicious foods for their family thought of enrolling to any culinary school to personally learn the art of cooking. Talking about culinary school, I found a cookery school online that offers excellent food educations for a range of people, they may be aspiring chefs or not. Courses it offers are day courses at their convenient rural locations, cooking courses for groups, for students, for school and for corporate events. It as well offers professional chef training for professional chefs who want to improve their extent of cooking skills.

I Think Of Closing My Kitchen Blog

I admit now, I am not really a kitchen person. I mean, I can't really be a good cook. Don't get me wrong, I wowed one of my friends with my style of Adobo, I perfected a few sunny side up eggs to my husband's relief, and I cooked the best Sinigang I've ever tasted but that's about it. Just a few of a progress in my almost 3 years of being a wife. Sigh! I know I could learn a lot more of recipes that is if I focus more in the kitchen but no. My life is not there. Maybe when I will have kids but that would be in a quite far future. So yes, it is final, I am closing my kitchen because I have nothing to write in there. I think of just incorporating my cooking progress, if there is any, in this blog. I haven't decided about what I am going to do with the layout yet.

My Brother In His School Uniforms

It is a very delightful feeling to know and see that your hard-earned money is spent for a good thing. And I was very delighted upon seeing my brother in his uniforms. Yes, he has two sets of school uniform and he looks great in both. I am sorry if I am over reacting but I am really happy and proud of myself. I am actually overwhelmed with pride and happiness that after my 4 loser years working my butt off in Manila, here I am finally able to help my parents by paying for two of my siblings' education using my very earned money simply because of blogging.
I am also happy for my brother because he finally thought of going to college and thought of his future. It is nice to see determination and dedication in him to his studies knowing he has conditional grade in his course. One failure will take him to enrolling other course and that's the last thing we want to happen. He loves his course therefore he really is studying his lessons and hoping to pass all the subjects. I wish him all the luck!

Ways in Finding House Plans for a Beautiful Home

posted by Rechie on ,

My husband and I are planning to build our own dream home in the future. We already have a house plan in mind. We already talked about it and both agreed to the idea. But since our dream house is to be built in a quite far future, we are always open for new ideas and plans. We both know that as the years pass by, new trends comes out as well. In searching for house plans, we came across a lot of ways. We went over special home plan magazines and books, as well as different websites that sell house plans. We almost tried purchasing software that is download-able to the computer. It would have been nice if we purchased the said software for a more advanced way of planning for our future house.
Anyway, you can start building your dream house by going over a variety of beautiful house plans and choosing the best one as your future home. Here are some ways by which you can find endless choices of house plans:

Go over house plan magazines and books
You can ask your neighbor or a friend or you may go to your favorite bookstore and shop for magazines and books that specialize in house plans. Look for one that has the most information you need, such as the cost to build, the materials needed, and other conditions required, aside from the given lot size and floor size. Popular magazines and books include Architectural Design Magazine, Builder Magazine, Family Home Plans Magazine, and Sater Designs. These publications do not only offer beautiful house plans, but they also include articles that give you tips for an easier and more cost-effective house construction, as well as making your home a more comfortable and magnificent place to live in.

Surf the net for more house plan choices
The internet offers endless house plan choices. Most home plan magazines also have websites, where you can view house plans. You can choose from among these plans and ultimately purchase one that you really want as your home. The cost of these plans are said to usually range from as low as $600 to as high as $2,000, depending on the complexity and uniqueness of the house design. These plans usually include the foundation floor plan, detailed floor plan, roof plan, indoor and outdoor elevation, the specific materials and quantity required, as well as other specifications needed for the construction.

Some house plan websites offer a limited style and fewer number of house plans compared to the other websites, depending on their specialty. It is important to go over as much websites as you can in order to really find the dream house plan you are looking for. Look for websites that are transparent in all their costs when you want to purchase a house plan from them. It would be great to find one that allows you to compare different house plans you desire at one time. Do not hesitate to go over customer feedback and reviews to help you choose which company delivers your expectations. To help you do this, you can check out homeplaninfo.com and find a short description of the website, as well as types of houses featured, the number of house plans offered, and architect or customer reviews. It also gives you direct links to home plan websites, as well as their customer support email address and hotline numbers.

Create your own house plan using 3D computer software
There is also a modern computer software that allows you to make your own house plan. If you know nothing about house plans, there is no need to worry as this software comes with sample or free house plans you can use to start with. There are also tutorials with the package that will help you go about the process. The best thing about this software is that it enables you to view your house plan in 3D. You can visualize the details of your dream house, such as floor tiles and wall colors, with all its 3D tools and roam around the house with its virtual tour. Examples of this software are Home Design Software and Google SketchUp.

In choosing your house plan, make sure you do not get carried away by the elaborate house designs. Always put in mind your budget, the lot size you have, your location and the other necessities you have for building a home. With so many house plan sources to choose from and the modern technology available, the beautiful house you have always dreamed of will always be within reach.

I already mentioned Analou, my friend who just arrived from Manila in my post earlier. She visited us today before her flight back to Manila at our little nest and finally, she met my little pretty Chizka. She recognized Chizka right when she got inside since she saw her already in my facebook albums.  Chizka, who is very seldom to see visitors was so happy wagging her tail with excitement. Check out the photos below:
They became friends real fast. Analou received few licking from Chizka as sign of greetings to a new friend. Lol. Wish to see my friend again! I wish her a safe trip back to Manila.

Hang-Over

Sorry guys if I was not able to blog hop last night and will not be able to blog hop today. I woke up with hang-over and still having some few effects of alcohol in me. I was in my hometown last night because Analou (in checkered blue collard top), a friend from Manila came home to hang out with us, her batch mates. It's been a long 8 years since the last time she hanged out with us so that night we really had a blast. She took us out to eat and drink and then eat again. She bought two cases of red horse beer that made some of us wasted, including me. Here are some photos taken last night:
Sorry about the bad photos. My phone camera sucks.

I went back here in Dipolog around two in the morning. Yep, hubby scolded me for a few. I don't blame him for that. Seeing your wife coming home late at night and drunk, oh yeah I understand. Plus I was not able to call him all night long. It was all good though, I had fun with my friends, I share good laugh and deadly back stubbing with them. I had so much fun!

Look Who's Enjoying The Rain

A typhoon hit Philippines again. I never thought it was that hard. If I didn't watch news last night, I didn't know it caused several destruction, killed some people and left some homeless. I personally was happy that it rained as well as out little turd. Look how she was enjoying the wet weather outside our terrace:

It seemed like she was examining every drops of the rain. I didn't allow her to go out because it just means giving her a bath again plus she was making the room floor wet and dirty. But looking at her that serious and kinda' enjoying, I just let her.
Ops, she heard my camera flickered. That's our little sweet turd right there. She is just like a real baby who gets too hard headed sometimes.
