How Did You Spent Christmas?

Here in the Philippines, Christmas is about celebrating it with the whole family, sharing love, peace and joy to one another. Christmas is when you can see happy faces of the kids doing the carolling to their Godparents' house. It is so delightful to see those smile receiving with just a simple gifts and pennies. The abundance of foods on the table doesn’t count, what weigh more is the presence of your family. What’s important is you are complete celebrating Christmas together right on the Christmas Eve. The joy and happiness of celebrating Christmas with the family cannot be compared. There is this kind of happiness that you can’t feel when you are with your friends. That’s why some who are working in far countries, far from their family would really find way and time to come home to be with the family. That’s how important a family is to the hearts of every Filipinos especially during Christmas.

Well, my Christmas was extra meaningful and colorful because I celebrated it with my whole family and with my beloved husband. We were complete and that made me feel complete. We had more fun and enjoyment, more happiness and more excitement. My husband and I traveled all the day down to Manukan for an hour to spend Christmas with my family. I know my husband enjoyed celebrating Christmas here in the Philippines. I saw the real happiness in his smiles though everything was new to him like going to church at night until the bell rings declaring “IT’S CHRISTMAS”; like celebrating Christmas on the Christmas Eve because in the States he said, they celebrate Christmas on the day of the 25th; like celebrating Christmas with fireworks, because in States they only use firework on the 4th of July. I am glad that I got to let him understand how important Christmas in our hearts because Christmas simply means “family unity” to us.

Here are our Christmas photos that i would
like to share with you:

Christmas can't be complete without gifts under the Christmas tree. So, we filled mom's little Christmas tree for our godchildren, little cousins, nephews and nieces and of course, gifts for the family. We got some fireworks too that made noise on the Christmas Eve.
We had a little roast pig. It was hubby's request. It is now his favorite Filipino food. LOL.
Witness our silliness with these family pictures. You can tell by our smiles how happy we were.

The Party Last Night

The Christmas Party last night here in Orchid Villas was okay though it was not well organized and i was not able to enjoy singing. I was able to sing yes, but it was already late and people started going back to their respective homes.

So far my husband was not bored unlike the last time they hosted a party here. I am thankful that we were able to make friends with our neighbors living 3rd door from our house. They are fil-for couple also. At least my husband can have someone to talk to. My husband don't really like mingling with Filipino here in this community because most of them are too damn high to reach and some are fake. I hope you know what I mean. Mostly, rich Filipinos are like that. I am not saying all of them.

We were all amazed when the program started because it was hosted by two lovely kids. They really did good in it and aside from that they were speaking English and delivered it very well. These pretty smart kids are indeed admirable.

We enjoyed the food especially the roast pig which is my hubby's most favorite Filipino food. Each family or each house was assigned to contribute one dish and we got Beef Teriyaki. Since i do not know how to cook, we just ordered from CLS, our favorite restaurant among the restaurants here in DC. When the dinner was over, the exchanging of gifts followed. Just like usual style of exchanging gifts here in the Philippines, they numbered the gifts and what number you will pick it is the number of the gift you'll get. I picked number 3 and here is the gift we received. It's a towel set, very good for my hubby to wipe his sweats off.

Christmas Party Tonight

Yes we are going to a Christmas Party tonight but we don't need any vehicle to go there because it is just right inside the Villa where we reside. It is the Christmas Party for the whole Orchid Villas Community. The party will start at 7:00 so i will not be around the computer at that time and later. Of course i want to enjoythe party. I am excited about singing since they rent videoke machine but i have to drink first before i can do that if ever my shyness attack. We are celebrating with our neighbors and we are not that close to all of them yet.

Since there will be exchanging of gifts, my hubby and I bought and got our last minute gift wrapped today at the Mall. Our minimum amount of gift is P100.00 and what we bought is more than that. Of course, when it comes to giving gifts we have to think of getting presentable one with quality, and quality comes with quantity. We got this square hot plate decoration with designs on it. It comes with stand to put on top of the desk or bookshelves. It really caught my attention that i even thought of getting one for our house next time. I was not able to take picture of it though. I really do like it, i just hope that whoever will receive our gift will be pleased.

Christmas may be over but it is not yet late to make a wish and be granted. Check out http://www.sitonsantaslap.com/ and engage in Sit on Santa’s Lap Experience by uploading your photo. Photo to be uploaded should be your real photo and must not contain inappropriate content or copyrighted. Your photo will then be processed by Santa’s dwarves to appear in CEIVA Digital Photo Frame. Make sure to write down your wish and let Santa grant it online. Amazingly you and your wish will be featured by Santa on the video and that alone is already a granted wish. I really enjoyed the videos and was surprised looking at our picture that was taken on Christmas Eve in the CEIVA Digital Photo Frame. I even shared the videos to my friends and family and they were all amazed.
Talking about this unique digital frame, it has 8” high definition display. It automatically receives photos by phone or optional Wi-Fi. This digital photo frame would be a perfect gift to our grandparents and parents. Its traditional look would beautifully complement any home or office settings. Don’t think twice, if you got a wish experience the fun of Sit on Santa’s Lap for it to be granted now. Aside from that, you will be able to enter to the sweepstake and win $500 cash prize. You must be a resident of United States or Washington DC and must be 18 years old and above to be qualified to enter the sweepstakes. There will be 1 random entry selected for each day, so your luck is very close to reach. Who knows you will be the selected winner today, which would be a great New Year’s gift.

Christmas Presents Are All Ready

With the help of my sisters we finally got all the presents for my godchildren and for the family ready yesterday. I was so glad when they all showed up including my brother at my birthday though there was no celebration happened. What we did was we went shopping for our little nieces and nephews back home since we will be celebrating Christmas at my parents' house. We also bought baby stuffs for my godchildren including mom's and dad's. We had so much fun, it was kind of grand bonding for us because we were complete. When we got home we have it all wrapped. For sure the kids will be happy for what we got for them this Christmas.
Early this morning my siblings went home taking all the gifts to put under mom's little Christmas tree. It was just a right time because right after they left my hubby and I went to shop for my siblings and for my parents. Of course, my siblings don't need to know what we are going to get for them. It should be a surprise. Well, i am already excited what my husband got for me this Christmas. He already had it today at the mall. He was taking advantage of the time while i was busy picking stuffs for my sisters. Whatever that gift he got for me, for sure it's a tiny gift. I am still thinking on what will i get for him tomorrow, hmm it would be a last minute-secret gift wrapping.

I would like to announce that today is my 22nd birthday. Thank God for giving me this day. I guess this time I can finally say that I am back. I would like to thank all those who have wished me well and all the best for this day. I am very much ok now. The cyst popped on it's own at two in the morning today. Just right time for my birthday, i was advised to just have the operation after the holidays so i can have fun with my family. I still need more rest though, it is not advisable to take advantage of it this time.

Since it’s my day today, I got a birthday present from my hubby. He gave it to me yesterday while I was still confined on our bed. Here it is:

It is my most loved scent, Light Blue from Dolce and Gabbana. He really knows me that much now. Hehe. But the best gift i ever have this year is my husband, himself, for being here with me this birthday. He was the one who have taken care of me during those days i was sick. He never failed to make me happy and that alone is the greatest gift that God have given to me. Of course, the poeple who are always there for me, my family. They are the greatest gifts that i will always treasure.

I've Been Sick

For over two weeks i have been sick and was on bed because of this swollen thing right at my delicate thing. I've been in so much pain and i feel totally useless i couldn't do the things i need to do. I've been to the doctor and i was given medicines which really didn't help melt this swollen thing but it helped ease little bit of pain. Last Wednesday I went back to see my doctor as what the doctor asked as soon as i finished the medicines for further examination. The doctor finally declared that i have Bartholin's Cyst, washed his hands off my case and referred me to a surgeon. To those who doesn't know what this kind of cyst is about i made some research for you from wikipedia.

A Bartholin's cyst is formed when a Bartholin's gland is blocked, causing a fluid-filled cyst to develop. A Bartholin's cyst is not an infection, although it can be caused by an infection, inflammation, or physical blockage (mucus or other impediment) to the Bartholin's ducts (tubes which lead from the glands to the vulva). If infection sets in, the result is a Bartholin's abscess. If the infection is severe or repeated a surgical procedure known as marsupialization may be required to stop further recurrences.

Bartholin's cysts are most common in women aged 20-29, especially those who have never been pregnant or have only been pregnant very few times. A Bartholin's cyst can grow from the size of a pea to the size of an egg. Cysts are not sexually transmitted, though sexually transmitted diseases such as syphilis or other bacterial infections can cause the cysts to become infected and become abscesses.

The cysts are not life-threatening, but can be quite painful and can even make walking difficult. New cysts cannot absolutely be prevented from forming; however, surgical or laser removal of a cyst makes it less likely that a new one will form at the same site. However, those with a cyst are more likely than someone else to get one in the future. Some recur once every few years, while the more unlucky ones get them more frequently. There is not presently a generally agreed-upon explanation in the medical field for the cause of these cysts, nor agreement upon what can be done to help prevent them. Many women who have marsupialization done find that the recurrences may slow, but do not actually stop.

I am really sorry for not dropping back at your sites. I'll be having surgical operation this Monday, December 22 which is actually my birthday. Haha what a nice b-day gift i will get.

Help Warn People from Unknown Callers

posted by Rechie on

Many have experienced receiving calls from unknown callers who are just making fun and even worst, callers who are trying to scam. Economic crisis or simply having fun may be the potential reasons why people are doing that kind of game. If you are one of those who have received calls from unknown callers, let others know. You can help other people be warned by reporting your received calls from unknown callers at http://www.reportphonenumbers.com/. All you have to do is report the caller's number and leave a comment about that number. Don't forget to read the submitted comments from other users as a warming for more future calls. It is the best way to minimize the victims of those unknown callers.

Bring To Mind The First Time

Receiving this tag made me feel the excitement and nervousness I felt the first time I met my King. Oh I still can recall how afraid I was to meet him to the extent of breaking my promise of picking him up at the airport. Lol. I still met him though at the hotel, alone. It is always wonderful to remember the first meeting with our beloveds and feel again those undeniably wonderful feelings. Thanks Demcy for sharing this reminiscing tag with me.

Now, let’s bring back the first fantastic day with our hubbies. I am sharing this with Femikey, Allen’s Darling, Rosemarie, Chindy, Geraldine, Mommyelvz, Ruthi, Jacky, Ane, Carnation, Vhing, Richelle, Madz, Umma, Amor, Ruth and Shy. Hope you'll enjoy this.

Here are the simple rules:
1. Pick your sweetest picture when you were still friends and post it on top of the questions and answers.
2. Another pic now that you are together post it after the questions.
3. Share to how many friends you like.
4. Enjoy doing it c:
5. Let your hubby read it too.

Can you remember the day you first met your hubby? When was that?Yes, it can’t be forgotten. It was September 02, 2006. I supposed to meet him at the airport with my Aunt but I never made it or should say I was afraid. I know he understands since I was 19 and it was really beyond my expectation to meet him. People on the Internet as I have known are just playing. When he called me up at 4 pm and said he just arrived at the airport it was the time I believed. I instructed him to go to any hotel he pleased instead. I met him outside the hotel sitting at the stairs by the hotel entrance. Haha! That was it and I was alone. I was brave after all. Below are our pictures, the first one was taken during our first meeting, the second is our recent. These are my picks among the sweetest pictures we got.

First impression...?
Neat and amazingly handsome with his “army cut”.

Were you friends before he became your bf?
Yes, I guess so. We were talking over the net, over the phone and we have that connection that connected out world together.

What was the sweetest thing he did for you?
When he said he loves me and he meant it.

What are the things about him that you are thankful for?
He is gentleman and very kindhearted. He is very understanding and very supportive in everything I do. The greatest thing that I am thankful for above all things is his love for me that I have proven many times that he does. He never gave up on me and accepted me as me, my best and my worst.

After three painful days and nights here I am, alive and kicking. After three suffering days and sleepless nights here I am exploring. I finally went to the doctor today and finally took medicines prescribed by the doctor and not by me. It was not nice to be in bed for three days and nights but I have to because it was painful for me to stand up and walk. You may be curious about my sickness; the cause was pretty simple "shaving" according to the doctor. I was being careless shaving my delicate thing and cut myself with the blade. It got infected until it swells. Bad thing is I wait for it to get worst. Anyway, I am ok now and glad to be back here in the blogosphere. I missed a lot in here. I missed dropping entrecards at my fellow bloggers' pages, so sorry for that. I missed three posts so I have to make three posts today, I hope I can. I guess this post can be counted as one, ayt? I would like to thank my fellow bloggers who dropped by in spite of my absence.

Many people suffer diabetes due to eating sugary foods or imbalance of sugar intake. Too much sugar may also cause tooth decay and worst, obesity. That’s why sometimes it is right to use healthy sugar substitute. Emerald Forest provides all high quality natural sweeteners. They have Xylitol Sweeteners and Erythritol Sweeteners. Xylitol is a sugar alcohol used as naturally occurring sugar substitute. It is found in the fibers of fruits and vegetables and can be extracted from corn fiber. It is actually not sugar but it is as sweet as sugar. Xylitol has only five carbon atoms unlike other sugars that have six therefore; it is classified as low calorie having 2.4 calories per gram and low carbohydrate natural sweetener. It is completely safe for diabetes and beneficial for the teeth. Emerald Forest uses 100% erythritol sugar crystals to their products. Erythritol is a natural sugar alcohol found in fruits and fermented foods. It looks and tastes like sugar yet it is non-caloric which does not cause tooth decay and does not affect blood sugar. Emerald Forest also has Xylitol Sugar Free Mints, Gums and Candies, Sours, Coffee Shots, Jams and dental care products like toothpaste, mouthwash and tooth gel for infants using natural sweeteners.

Now, WHO is the UNDERDOG?

posted by Rechie on

To all the people around the world i am proud to say that i am very, very, as in very proud of Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao for he has proven himself again as the real Filipino's Pride. His victory has been announced one more time with his recent fight with Oscar dela Hoya right before the 9th round started. Before the fight, some people in Las Vegas named Manny Pacquiao as "the underdog" because of the fact that his opponent weighed more on experience and of course on body weight and structure yet after Pacman's victory they gave their own excuses as to why Pacman's opponent quit. Because of that I came up with a lesson :"Don't belittle small people."

For those who was not able to watch the fight i am sharing this news i got from Yahoo Sports.

ROUND 1
De La Hoya closed as a 2-1 favorite. De La Hoya is minus-200 and Pacquiao is plus-170. The over-under is 9½ rounds. Pacquiao comes out with a slight weight advantage tonight. On the unofficial HBO scales, he weighed 148½ and De La Hoya was 147. De La Hoya is the aggressor early, but nothing lands in the first minute. Straight left from Pacquiao and then a combination from Pacquiao connects. Lead left by Pacquiao. Right to the body by Oscar. Manny misses a big hook. Straight left by Pacquiao. Combination to the head by De La Hoya backs Pacquiao up. Right by Oscar connects. Straight left by Manny.Iole scores it 10-9, Pacquiao

ROUND 2
Lead right by De La Hoya and a right hook from Pacquiao. Double jab by De La Hoya. Pacquiao is circling away. Combination from Oscar but doesn’t land flush. Combination to the body by De La Hoya. Right-left from Pacquiao. De La Hoya’s face is reddened from the punches. Pacquiao left lands and then an uppercut. Lead left by Pacquiao keeps getting through. Difference in hand speed is stark. Hard jab and then a left by Pacquiao. Lead left by Pacquiao.Iole scores it 10-9, Pacquiao.

ROUND 3
Lead left from Pacquiao to open the round connects. De La Hoya has to stop that. De La Hoya is doing nothing offensively in first minute of round. Pacquiao flicks a jab that is short. Right to the head and left to the body from De La Hoya. Lead left again by Pacquiao. Left to the body from Pacquiao. Oscar seems befuddled. Right hook to the body from Pacquiao. Iole scores it 10-9, Pacquiao

ROUND 5
De La Hoya connects with a jab, but first 30 seconds of round are very slow. They’re circling but not throwing much. Pacquiao lands a right hook. Triple jab from Pacquiao. Combination from Pacquiao backs De La Hoya up. The way this is going, it wouldn’t be a shock if De La Hoya were to quit on the stool at some point. He’s taking a tremendous amount of punishment. Body shot by Oscar lands and then two lefts. Oscar’s left eye is closing. He looks like a beaten, old and shot fighter.Iole scores it 10-9, Pacquiao

ROUND 6
Nothing happens in first minute of round. Pacquiao lands left to body and a left to the cheek. They trade in the corner and Pacquiao gets the best of it. Straight left from Pacquiao lands. Hard straight left by Pacquiao snaps Oscar’s head back. De La Hoya’s left eye is a mess. Right by Pacquiao lands on that eye. This may be stopped soon by the corner. Iole scores it 10-9, Pacquiao

ROUND 7
Lead right by De La Hoya lands to open the round. Pacquiao rakes De La Hoya with a three-punch combination. Double jab by Manny. Pacquiao batters De La Hoya into the corner. He’s pinned on the ropes and Pacquiao is firing away. Fight is close to ending. Pacquiao is hitting De La Hoya hard with everything he throws. Oscar is in big, big trouble. Left to the body by Pacquiao hurts Oscar. Oscar has never been beaten like this in any of his 44 previous fights. Pacquiao is overwhelming him.Iole scores it 10-8, Pacquiao

Christmas is in the air. It is time for Santa to visit house to house to collect people’s wishes this Christmas. Have you already given your wish list this Christmas to Santa or have you got a wish? Well, my hubby and I have already given our wish to Santa. You might ask where Santa is, visit http://www.sitonsantaslap.com/?utm_source=b and make a wish and experience how Santa grants your wish with just a click of your finger. Watch Santa’s video and listen carefully to his instruction. He instructed me to upload my photos and to make a wish. I uploaded a photo of me with my hubby and in an instant our photo appeared on the video and in CEIVA digital photo frame. The photo frame is pretty unique with its 8” hi-definition display and phone connectivity. It is best for holiday gifts for your loved ones. You can get the photo frame for one $129.99 and get photos automatically, daily. Our wish was even on Santa wish list book too. Looking at the video was really amazing. Imagine yourself being featured by Santa and the elves on the video. Maybe you want to try it for yourself too. Count your wish in Santa’s book now. It won’t take so much of your time, plus your wish will be granted. One more thing, once you have made a wish you already entered to contest with $500 worth of cash prize to be won each day of the contest. The contest is only available for those who reside in USA and Washington DC and must be 18 years and above.

I got a smiling tag and award yesterday from Mommyelvz. Thank you so much for sharing your sweetest smile on me. I am so sorry though if i was not able to post this right away. I was so occupied yesterday cleaning the house, and studying my lessons. Today is our prelim examination. I am glad i have no more exams this afternoon, now i can breath good and able to post this.

Here is the tag from Mommyelvz: Wear Your Sweetest Smile Today!
Someday, everything will make perfect sense.
So laugh at the confusion...
smile through the tears...
keep reminding yourself
that everything happens for a purpose.

Something to make you smile:
If you smile when no one is around,
you really mean it.

Smile and be happy!
I am giving my smile to: demcy, chindy, rosemarie, dylan, Liz, femikey, ruthi & tripzibit.

Our Little Sarah

Looking back when Sarah was still a baby of about 2 months old, I used to carry her and let her sleep on my lap. I used to hug her in my sleep. I felt like a caring and loving mom and the feeling was so great. She was such a smart, pretty puppy. The thought of having her is for us to have a little companion in the house. We were bored because we have no baby or should I say we were not blessed of having one until now. We have been waiting and we will be until such time God will give us one. It still need more overtime though.

Back to Sarah, she is mixed golden retriever and Labrador but she has more features of a Labrador. She had been with us since August 8, 2008; she was then a 2-months cute little thing wagging her tail every time she wanted us to take her outside to play. She has played the baby’s role in our home and still. She gives this home more life when she came. She learns things very fast. At three months she was able to climb upstairs by herself. She wakes us up at night if she wants to pee and poo. She sits when she wants us to share some munches with her. She likes it when she is freshly bath. She watches television with us until she falls asleep. There may be times when she gets crazy trying to get our attention, it is an implication that she wants us to play with her.

Now, she is 5 months old. She has grown up real fast. She is still a baby for me but the thing is I cannot carry her no more, she gets too heavy. I can’t sit her on my lap now and let her sleep. She prefers to sleep alone under the chair or under our bed. She is starting to have her own world. She is starting doing things she can't do before on her own. I guess it goes same way with a real baby. And I, as a mom feel that sudden joy that our little Sarah have grown up into a good and smart dog. Now she can stand in front of me, put her paws on my shoulder and look at me in the eyes before giving me some licking love.

I got a tag from Demcy today asking what i am grateful for. Thank you so much for sharing this to me. There are lots of things that i am very much grateful for in this life.

1. First is the life itself that is given to me; the chance to be here in this world to feel and to exprience how great to be here even for a borrowed breath and time.
2. The chance to have and to make a family; to feel the love of the people i love and the chance to feel God's love.
3. The chance to face trials and difficulties that have molded my strength for me to be better and stronger. The chance to show my weaknesses and recognize my shortcomings and failures.
4. The chance to praise God for all His undeniable goodness and the chance to repent my deeds that are against His will.
5. The chance to follow His words and to fulfill the life's purpose that He have for me.

Let me know what are the things you are grateful for. I am sharing this tag to you guys: atenean101, Johnlynx, Ruth, Vhing, Carnation and Femikey.

Temporary Office

We are officially booted out from our office today due to remodeling. Hubby wants our bedroom and our little office combined into one bigger room. Our little sanctuary is now very crowded and full of mess due to that ongoing construction. One thing, we have to move out our office stuffs mainly our computers downstairs. We have thought about it already last night and we already thought of buying longer internet wire and connector in the morning. It took just a little time for us to move things down and fixed the wirings and cables to run computer connection. I can say we are both addicted to computer. We just can’t live a day without doing our computer works. I admit I am quite addicted now with this blogging thing after learning some stuffs. Even with my hectic schedules I still can manage to drop entrecards and to visit my friends’ blogs. Blogging is now one of my responsibilities. My hubby has been addicted to his newly discovered game too. First thing in the morning when he wakes up he turns his game on and starts his gaming job. Blogging and gaming are now added to our daily routine. For now we have our temporary office at the living room.

Let Your Rebelious Side Out

SpitzTunes survey has freed my rebellious side for a moment. Rebellion in a form of music is less brutal yet absorbing. It goes straight to the heart of someone listening. As what they said, it is a compassionate way of voicing out criticisms of the world’s wrecker. On the other hand, the survey has made me recall the 80's generation. For me the song of the 80's are still the best. Their love songs are so relaxing that it have been my companion when I go for a chill and even in my sleep.
