Couple’s Corner: Sweet Gesture

Rodliz’s Nest

It is Wednesday again! It simply means that it time for Couples again to share their life and love story at Couple’s corner. For the theme today, we (hubby and me) will be sharing about our sweet gestures towards each other.
My husband, if not mad, he totally is a sweet person. Same with me. If I am in a very good mood, which is everyday, I am a totally sweet person, a picture of a person who have no any ill feelings in this world. Anyway, hubby's sweet gestures oftentimes flatter me, making me fall for him again.

So, here are the sweet gestures he does:
1. He kisses me before he goes out to buy his beer from the store nearby, and kisses me again when he’s back.

2. He hugs me from behind and gives little kisses and nibbles on my nape when I am cooking or washing dishes. He also helps me file the washed dishes on the dish rack.

3. Lots of kisses and I love yous can be heard from his mouth everyday. Even when he only goes downstairs to get a glass of water, he kisses me and says  he loves me before going downstairs and kisses me again when he gets back up. Sometimes, I find it weird but later on found it sweet. Only few do that.

4. He's taking care of me when I am sick. He’s not allowing me to do anything but rest. He cooks for me and prepare my meals complete with a glass of water and medicine. During my period, when dysmenorrheal attacks, he would rush to the drugstore to buy medicine. He doesn’t like seeing me in pain.

5. He reaches for my hand when we are walking down the street so we hold hands together while walking. When we are on a tricycle, he puts his arm on my shoulder and guides me off the tricycle.

6. There were times when he stares at me for reasons I am unaware and when I catches him, he smiles and pouts his lips and “mwah”.

7. He tucks me in bed and says "good night" and in the morning when I wake up, he usually greets me "good morning", with a kiss and a hug.

And here are mine:
1. Like my husband, I kiss him before I go out the house to get something, and kiss him again when I get back. We actually share almost all the sweet gestures towards each other.
2. I give him lots of I love yous, hug and kiss everyday as well. As soon as he gets up from bed, I tell him how much I love him (there are times he wakes up late). And just like him, I used to say i love him and kiss him when I go downstairs to watch TV.
3. When cooking, I try my best to make it delicious so he will like it. When on the dinner table, I am the one who put foods on his plate.
4. When I sense that he is stressed from playing his games online and from watering the plants, I give him massages on his forehead, nape, shoulder and back. Sometimes, I want to make him feel special, I give him whole body massage.
5. There are times I give him surprise hugs from behind when he’s watching TV and give little kisses on his nape.
6. I don’t like hearing him cough, so the moment I hear him cough, I get cough medicine and a glass of water for him. It shows how much I care for him. When he is sick, of course, I take good care of him. He is a king when he is sick.
7. When are going out to party, I choose what shirt he wears.  When we are in the mall to shop, I choose what shirts for him to buy. He kind of like it!

Hubby's Fun Moments At Home

When we visited my parents last Friday, we stayed there for the night. That night, my brother and his friends came home from the sea with one bucket of fresh sardines. They helped the fishermen getting the fish from their fish nets and that was their reward. They then made a fire in front the house to grill the fish. Here are some photos taken that Friday night. These are no good photos though using my phone's camera. I forgot to set it for night capturing.
For the love of fish, he helped doing the poor style grilling. This was around midnight.

He couldn't wait for the fish to be cooked when he smelled the delicious aroma of fresh grilled fish.

Helping fishermen is what I used to do with my brother back when we were little. Our father, aside from being a carpenter, he is a fisherman too, although he doesn't go fishing nowadays due to his Arthritis.  Anyway, helping fishermen getting fish from their nets was how we can receive rewards - fresh free fish and the enjoyment of doing it. And after we get our reward, we would take the fish home and make a fire using dried coconut shells and dried woods. It is poor style grilling. Oh, I still can't get over with the aroma of fresh grilled fat and oily sardines and it's delicious taste especially when dipped in hot and spicy soy sauce and paired with cold rice or boiled banana.

My Eyeglasses Retires

I have been using eyeglasses for more than two years now. My eyeglasses had served me very well within those years. It helped me see clearer letters when I was reading and eased my eyes’ pain and headache when my eyes were overused. Sometimes, when peripheral vision problem occurs, when one of my eye sights, particularly my right eye sight gets blurry compared to my left, it helped me recover. Lately though, I noticed that it is ready to retire from its service. It is no longer helping me to have clearer vision when reading and wearing it even caused me headache. I might have to give it up and get a new one.
I read about this online eyeglasses store that is known for its durable and affordable eye wears. It is actually the most talked online eyeglasses store everywhere in the Internet. I am thinking, I got my eyeglasses for $30 from an optical clinic here in the City yet I can get a progressive eye wear from this online eyeglasses store at a lower price, as low as $8. Many have already tried its eyewear’s affordability and durability which they’ve enjoyed for many years. Reading about good reviews from real people who have tried their eye wears made me think of getting one of their affordable eye wears. I only need to get my eyes examined again and request my PD from my eye doctor and present it to this online eyeglasses store to be able to purchase a perfect updated eye wear for me. Now, I am very much tempted!

Rodliz’s Nest

Today, in Couple's Corner, we will talk about the sacrifices we did/do for the one we love. I want to talk first about our sacrifices before we get married. Since we had a long distance relationship, we sacrificed our time to be together because he had to leave me to go back to work. We can only see each other personally after every 4 months for 2 weeks. Although we were powered with a magical way of communication through phone calls and instant messaging in YM and MSN, it was still nice to hold, hug and kiss each other personally, everyday.
After the long days and months of sacrifices, our wedding date finally arrived. My husband sacrificed his job after more than 20 years just to spend a longer time with me here in Philippines after our wedding. He is also giving up his homeland to join with me for the rest of his life here in the Philippines. He is planning to live here in the Philippines for good and we will just be visiting his family there in US if we  have the time. Philippines and me is now his real home having a simple way of living, simple people and cheap expenses. Lol. As to my sacrifices, I can say are not much. My husband is not prohibiting me to hang out with my friends even without him. I only sacrifice the single life and my surname. Well, I love him so much so I willingly sacrificed it in the name of love.

You just read what we had to sacrifice in the name of love. Now is your turn to share! Click on the red "Couple's Corner" badge above to share yours and read about other couples' sacrifices.

It is my youngest sister's graduation today so hubby and I will be off to attend the graduation....I hope we will not be late.........will be back tomorrow or tonight!
Yesterday, Friday, was my youngest sister's High School graduation. We were informed right on the day of the graduation that we didn't able to wrap a gift for her. Chem who were at Zamboanga rushed home after learning about Cheep's graduation too. So, hubby and I arrived at my parent's place at 3 in the afternoon and Mama who was Cheep's escort was already home telling us the graduation ceremony was over. She left Cheep in school to hang out with her friends after the ceremony. My parents had a little preparation for Cheep including a big roast pig. Big enough to feed family and friends. We only have a few visitors. Cheep invited only her best friend in the house and have a fun early dinner together.  Later that night, during the brown out, a guy with a big gift wrapped in pink with a bouquet of red roses came in the house looking for Cheep. I was intrigued!  Found out who he is at The Three Chies.

As I was reading the theme today for Couple's Corner, I was like "wow, another hot topic"! Darn the dirty minded me. Lol. Anyway, as to what the beautiful sis Liz said, this topic doesn't necessarily means how many times you and your spouse share steamy love. So now for my share:
The picture above was taken in one of the hotels in Cebu, the only hotels we went to that was not fully booked (can't remember the name). It was during the last year's Sinulog Festival. That's the only picture I have in my files that fits right to the topic today.

As what you can see in the picture above, we were doing silly things before sleeping. It's kind of tiring ourselves aside from sharing steamy love so we can have a good night sleep. Even now, we still do silly things on bed. Usually, I hear hubby snores first. Sometimes though, we don't go to sleep together. There were times I want to sleep early or he gets so tired that he wants to sleep ahead.  One thing that hubby and I do before each of us sleep is we tuck in each other on bed with hugs, kisses and good night wishes. When it comes to the attire, hubby wears his birthday suit and I love wearing only big t-shirt. I fall asleep rubbing my feet on a smooth pillow  and hubby falls asleep suffocating me.  LoL!

Hunting For MP3 Files

I thought of downloading MP3 files to my phone. I have downloaded ten last year before I accidentally broke its LCD and so far my phone memory is still good. There is still wide unused memory left. Now I think of downloading more MP3 files so I have a wide selection of music to play when I am on a trip to visit my parents or at least we hear music during brown out while hubby and I play our newly bought Skrib Age game.
So I search online and hopped in to MP3 Search Engine. I got interested with the list of recent MP3 searches showed at the homepage. So I started my MP3 search and I was overwhelmed with the result when I was redirected to a complete list of my related search. It was complete with track names, artists, durations, bitrates and sizes of the files.
After choosing my desired track name, I was opted to type the code they’ve provided. After that, I was redirected to a page where I can download the song plus big and small music players. The purpose is to listen and confirm if you’ve chosen the right song you want to download. Not only that, the music player also has code so you can embed it to your site and since it comes with 2 sizes, it's up to you to decide which size of music player you want to embed to your site.

We Have A New Game To Play

Yes, we have a new game to play for 4 hours everyday or until the rotating brownout is over. It is a SKRIB AGE set, kind of a boggle game. The set comes with an hour glass timer, score pad, 15 peices skrib cubes, skrib case (skrib caddy and skrib lid), and a booklet of rules of the game. The objective of the game is to form words as many as you can, within the given length of time.
This game has 2 two formation, GI breaks and Full house formation. We play the full house formation because it is more challenging. Just like boggle, you have to find a word with minimum of 3 letters and join the letters in sequence, it may be diagonal, horizontal, and vertical. The letters should be connected to each other in sequence. No letter from a rolled SKRIB-cube may be used more than once for the same word being formed.

He did give good punches that make Pacman looks more beaten after the match. It is undeniable though that Pacman dominated Clottey inside the boxing ring. Pacman's speed reigned more over Clottey's under hooks and upright defense. Pacman declared as winner by unanimous decision after the 12th round. For more info about the fight, click here.

Who's Your Bet?

One fun thing that hubby and I share with each other is betting on sports that are aired on TV. We watch our favorite sports on TV and make a bet on sports like boxing, football, billiard, baseball, volleyball and some winter sports. Lately, we added hockey game for both men and women’s for betting for I got interested on it after watching it on TV during the Olympics 2010 held in Vancouver, Canada just recently. How I wish we were really there watching the winter Olympics personally. Hopefully, hubby and I will be able to watch live sports together like being in a stadium and do our secret betting.

You may find it boring but it is a lot of fun for both of us because of the punishments we set when our chosen team or individual will be defeated. I was already punished to do the general cleaning, cooking and washing dishes for a week without hubby’s help. Hubby was also punished to finish all the laundry including the curtains and the couch covers in just one day. So it is really fun and we both like it. We don’t do it everyday though, just twice a week.

Anyway, we did our bet already for the year’s first big event - the Pacman vs. Clottey big fight this coming March 15. Who’s your bet?

Welcome to The Dating Profiles Meme. This meme is based on a feature from WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. This is a bit different than an "answer this question" meme. Either you have used sites such as Match.com or Yahoo Personals or you’ve read them. Weekly, we scour those on-line dating sites to respond either a person's profile or often their headlines as most of us would really like to do. We use only "lines" that are gender-neutral. So, your mission is to respond to ten we choose each week. Seriously or with humor is your choice! The spelling or grammar errors were in the original profiles. Join us each and every Friday!

1. I am an easy going person who just goes with the flow. I would like someone who can also go with flow. Shouldn't we all just go with the flow? It depends..but we better be honest with each other and don't just go with the flow if there's something you dislike.
2. It would be nice to go home with someone and talk about the day over a glass of pepsi. Yes it is but i prefer a glass of coke.
3. I enjoy long walks on the beach. Mee too!
4. Most important to me are family, friends, and our environment. We are compatible!
5. Make me smile - I'll return the favor. I am thinking something bad.
6. No, i've never been married. No, i don't have any children. Why? It's simple. I haven't met the ONE yet and i won't settle for less than i deserve. You only deserve what you get.
7. I also love giving and receiving massages after a stressful day at work. I would love to rest and sleep after a stressful day.
8. I've done some hiking in the past and wouldn't mind doing it again. I don't mind too.
9. I'm turned off by smokers and foul language. Good for you.
10. Relationships are a two way street. Anything can be fun and adventurous, as long as I'm in charge. Oh, that's messed up. You better find a mate who can deal with your so-called "two way street", someone who doesn't mind staying under your skirt and sleeve.

Couple's Corner: When We Cuddle

Rodliz’s Nest

When husband and I start cuddling, most of the time it will end up in bed. Most of the time not all the time.  We usually cuddle while watching whatever shows on TV, while waiting for our groceries at the mall to be checked out,  and whenever we feel like cuddling. Our favorite place to cuddle is in the bedroom, for sure all married couples can relate. When we're on bed before going to sleep, of course, we cuddle until we both fall asleep cuddling each other after tiring ourselves by "you know" and by doing silly things after.
(This picture is rated PG)

Cuddling is indeed important to every couples. Our body need the warm that only our loved-on can give through cuddling. Cuddling is also one way of telling our partner that we want them intimately. Well, that is our (hubby and me) way or it's kind of our implication that we want to make love with each other. There was one time I joked at my husband to tell me directly like "hey baby, let's go upstairs, i'm hard" if he wants to make some loving but he said that it don't work like that. Besides, it is being disrespectful to me.  A mixture of an earnest feeling of love and desire should be present and it comes naturally when being with the person you love. I gave hubby two thumbs up for that.

Constipation and Biguerlai Tea

I've been drinking Biguerlai tea for 3 weeks now for a major reason - to fight constipation! After convincing hubby to allow me drinking this slimming tea, he finally said yes 3 weeks ago. During those days without Biguerlai was really stressful. I stress myself too much thinking what was wrong with me and what was wrong with my digestive system. Throwing waste once, if lucky, twice a week is really painful. Actually, hubby had been convincing me to visit a doctor regarding my problem but I do not want to hear something bad from a doctor's mouth yet. I'll surely visit a doctor but, just, not yet.
I am not having constipation problem for now with Biguerlai tea. I am drinking a glass per day (do not overdose) and it makes me visit the bathroom 2 to 3 times which is not normal. A slimming tea, eh? For three weeks of drinking this tea, I didn't lose the extra 2 inches from my waist yet. If i'll slim down by drinking this tea, it would be a very big bonus but for now I am more than happy being able to throw my waste everyday. I am hoping not to be dependent with this tea though. If it happens, it is the time that I need to visit a doctor.
