Plans for This Blog

How lonely this blog has been. Imagine, this blog has been silent since November 26. Haist, I've been neglecting this blog again. I became somewhat complacent with the fact that this blog regained its rank and maintained it to date that's why I was laying low on update.  Not a good thing!

How else am I gonna ease this blog's loneliness but start the update? Apart from the issue of my snail-slow Internet speed, I don't feel the interest to update this blog because of the "blogspot" in the URL. I was like, what's the use of updating this blog? Although this has the highest page rank among my blogs, I couldn't earn with this.

Meaning, I was more focused on updating the self-hosted Wordpress blogs. Mentioning self-hosted, now I planning of transferring this blog to Wordpress's platform and make it self-hosted. I have to get it's own domain of course. And to top it all, I will turn this blog into a personal/pet blog. What do you think? This means, Chuchie's Hideaway will totally be crashed out in the blog land and so as its traffic and rank

Need A Job?

While I was reading a Tagalog pocketbook borrowed from a friend, this question printed in catchy bold letters caught my attention. These that were printed in this little corner actually what I read first as I flipped the page.

Being one whose wants for imported products is greater than that of our own, the question and the answer really made me speechless in that instance. Right, we should buy our own products in order to produce more jobs in our own country. We should boast  and take pride on our own produce, support those that are Philippine-made by making it the top on our list when shopping. That way, we can help ourselves or our fellowmen keep their job or have a job. This is a call that we should start loving our own...but why are those imported products too irresistible? Argh!

Important Things To Consider When Buying A Diamond

Choosing an engagement ring is one of the more important decisions that you are going to make in life. Of course, it is really just a precursor to the marriage date which is when the actual vows are going to take place but having the engagement ring is more than just a promise of dedication. That is why it is important for you to make sure that you are well-versed in the various options that are available when choosing an engagement ring so that you can choose wisely. Not only will you want to make sure that it is beautiful and looks fantastic on the finger of your significant other, you also want to make a choice that is within your budget. That is why it is important for you to look at the various diamond values as well as the specific diamond retailers that you are going to use to purchase the ring.

One of the more important things that needs to be considered is the shape of the diamond and from that point, you should consider the carat weight, clarity and then color. You may also want to consider a specific designer, especially if they have designed rings that you have appreciated in the past. Simon G jewelry, for example, is a favorite of many who are looking for the perfect engagement ring (Source: Simon G jewelry by Buchroeders). If you do not have a specific designer in mind, discuss the various options that are available with the jeweler to see if there is a direction that you can go which will help you to find what you need.

Own Interpretation of Dream

I've been dreaming of water lately. The last two dreams that I remember vividly was flood and dark water. I was carried away by the current of the flood but floated safely on a bamboo raft. And the other one a concrete maze placed in a very dark, scary water. I was just standing on the concrete maze scared to make a step. Then the latest dream I had of water was a tidal wave.

The interpretation of seeing water in a dream, as I heard of, is tears, which I simply understood as emotion. I might cry a lot in the coming days. I don't know. I don't really believe that it really is the correct interpretation.  As what I often hear people here say, dreams are just fruits of a good sleep. But why is it that there are bad dreams? I learned that an average person has 3 to 4 dreams per night and each dream appears during a different stages of sleep.  There are dreams that we remember vividly and there are those that we totally forget when we wake up.

My own interpretation to water or as to why I have been dreaming of water is because I have always been wanting to swim and everytime that I get a chance I would go to the sea and swim. Lol! Seriously, I am just trying to calm myself down with the "tears" these dreams of mine can possibly bring in my waking life. I just hope though the it will be tears of joy and not of pain.

The Convenience of Learning Through DIY Videos

One of the best things that Internet can offer is information. When students are given assignments by their teachers nowadays, they prefer searching answers for it on the Internet than overhauling the hundreds and thousands of books in the files and bins of a library.

Searching for information on the Internet, although requires an amount to pay hourly Internet cafe rates if you do not have an Internet connectivity and a computer at home, is a lot easier, faster and more convenient than searching through books. Sometimes, you can't find answers in just one book that you have to refer to two books or more. It takes time. While when doing the searching for answers on the assignments online, you'll just have to conveniently set on your computer chair in front your computer, and with just a few taps on the keyboard, you are given a number of references on the search result. Thanks to those who untiringly supply credible, clear and accurate information on the internet through how-to articles and diy videos.

DIY or do-it-yourself videos are a hit. I find it more helpful and convenient because of the clearer tutorial it shows or the chronological demonstration of the information or instruction to follow. Those kinds of videos are mostly used when demonstrating instructions on how to cook or prepare a certain recipe, to repair or build DIY things in terms of technology, home improvement, home decorating, gardening, game demonstrations and a lot more. It as well used when giving out tutorial demonstration on how to apply perfect facial cosmetics, sewing a dress and using gadgets or software.

Learning how to take awesome DIY videos is also best learned through a DIY video itself. Through DIY videos, you are clearly informed, demonstrated steps by steps, how to do certain things. And these are all seen and done on the Internet.

Tidal Wave in a Dream

I slept at ten in the evening last night to my surprise. Even when Cheep asked me to get back on the computer  after she finished with her research, I stayed laid on the sofa. I did want to stay up to continue my online work but my eyes were pulling me to sleep and the last thing I knew, I woke up with a scary dream around three in the morning.

A  tidal wave appeared before us in my dream. We were in our house. My parents were there with me as well as my siblings and grandmother, who was able to climb at the second floor of the house before the tidal wave splashed down. I was the first one who saw the tidal wave at the back window coming to our way so I warned my family about it. We were so scared. I can still feel how scared I was. We couldn't do anything. All we could do then was scream and set ourselves ready for that ill-fated death.  But for some reason, the tidal wave didn't hit us for in an instant we were shielded inside an ark. Later on, we were on top of the ark and were floating on the water. That was weird.

Bothered by that dream, I searched for its interpretation online. Here's how Dream Moods interprets it:
To see a tidal wave in your dream represents an overwhelming emotional issue that demands your attention. You may have been keeping your feelings and negative emotions bottled up inside for too long.  On a positive note, the tidal wave symbolizes the clearing away of old habits. If you are carried away by the tidal wave, then it means that you are ready to make a brand new start in a new place. To dream that you can create a tidal wave with your mind is analogous to your ability to control your emotions and keep them in line.
We've already had a lot of overwhelming emotional issues and now with this threat of a tidal wave of emotional issue, we are but ready.

Disco, Manukan Style

When you are in a province or town wherein no sign even a slight of "westernization" yet, disco or dance party happens very seldom. Here in my hometown, disco only happens when it is the town's fiesta, high school prom, victory night and alumni homecoming. No wonder the locals thirst for a big dance event such as a disco.

That's why during the disco happened on the night of November 13 held at the town's sport center, locals, mostly the party-goers at heart rushed in to join the party not minding the entrance fee that was 20 pesos. We, sisters went to party too.  Our brother was already there when we arrived, he was a bit tipsy.

When we entered, the sport center was already this dark, only the disco lights were on and there were lots of folks already moving on the dance floor along with T-pain's butt-shaking beat "Take Your Shirt Off". Oh my, I miss that music!

We managed to find chairs and a table by the entrance. Sitting by the table has a fee of 200 pesos. We positioned our seats facing the dance floor to watch the people who were already engrossed with showing off their dance moves. It was fun!
Later on, the lights were switched on. Someone announced the winners of the various sports and activities held a week before the fiesta.  I had no idea about it. After the announcement, lights went out again and DJ Floyd's remix of the song Gangnam Style soared up in the air. It's when I got my buff off my chair and went to the dance floor with my sisters. There we did our own version of Gangnam style..lol!
Above is the clearest picture I took of DJ Floyd that night (my BB's camera sucks at night). It was good I spotted him before he proceeded to the DJ booth and have exchanged hellos. I was actually surprised upon seeing him. It was good to have him as one of the DJs that night for I did miss his song remixes in Club Centro.

Pig Witch

It feels so "Halloween" here now in our place as the rumor about the witch who disguises himself as a pig is widely spread. I've heard about this rumor from my cousin and grandma three days ago when I accompany them to the padasal (prayer session to a dear relative who departed), wherein grandma led the 9-day prayer session. The story was not really told in detail as they as well just heard it.

Here goes the story:

It was said that a witch that disguised himself as a pig got into a house in a nearby village one night. It was not told what time of the night it was. Of course, seeing an astray animal in the house, the first thing to do is to push it out and ask the neighbors of its owner. But it was said the pig was defiant and vehement to get in the house, which scared the whole family. The head of the house then picked a stick and beaten the pig but to their panic, the pig turned into a human.  End of story.

I was curious if the said witch got away or it hurt the people in the said house. I am not hoping for the latter definitely. I did hope it was captured and was justly punished, if ever it was true. Or if it got away, meaning it was a good creature and didn't mean any harm to the people.

Tonight, I heard of it again. We are warned to be extra watchful at night. Gosh, I am having bad goosebumps right now! I do hope it isn't true or if it is, I hope the creature is a friend.

Chat Again

I had a good laugh while talking with my grandmother the other day. It’s funny that an 85 years old woman who believed a woman can only marry once encouraged me to go chat online again to find a new man. She never married again after my grandfather passed away so many years ago. Yet there she was so eager for me to find a new love. I understand her encouraging as she has seen me at that worst days of my life, crying - longing for someone. Her belief might have been affected by the computer age. I live in a modern world anyway where youngsters handle marriage just like a game, she said. So why not go ahead and find a new happiness.

I might check out the sites I spotted lately that was reviewed in the sites http://www.freedating-websites.com and http://datingnice.com/. But before that, I might as well read tips regarding online dating again. It's been a long time since I last dated online so reading tips and reviews might be of help in staying on the safe side.

Inner Beauty Lasts

I run into this quote while randomly browsing through the internet, just looking for an inspiration and a good read. This quote sure brings a big impact to the reader. I, myself was nodding in agreement while reading. Do you?

True enough, inner beauty lasts but physical beauty withers through time. Everyday, we meet many good-looking people but only few are worth to be called "beautiful". With beautiful, for me it means a person who may not be too attractive to catch everyone's attention but with a heart so kind and loving and beyond attractiveness.

This quote is a one good inspiration for everyone. This inspires me today. I hope it inspires you too.

Find Another Love

It is not a secret to my family and friends that my husband and I have not been communicating for quite a while now. Or when we communicate, which often initiated by me as I try to contact him from time to time, it takes the husband months to reply. I know this situation is bad for a married couple more so since we live miles apart. It is not right for the husband to not find time to contact the wife when there is a lot of ways to do so.

As much as I want to talk to him everyday, I can't force him if he doesn't want to. I can feel he has done something bad. Maybe he got someone pregnant there or maybe he simply found a new one. What else would you think when you are in my situation? It just too shallow of a reason that the husband cannot contact because his computer is broken or he is very busy at work. Tsk!

After a year of depression due to this unlikable marriage situation, I came to realize that I am not who is at fault and I should not be sad just because of the husband's negligence. It will be his loss. Now that I am over with it, although not totally, I can start and end my days with smiles now. I still think of him but it doesn't hurt anymore.

Besides, I can always find another love if I want to. There is a lot of online chatroom on the internet like http://online-chat-rooms.com/ waiting for me that offers chat for free like http://chat-forfree.com/ if he doesn't it. Lol! Mentioning this site, you might as well give it a visit because it does not just offer chat for free, it also has web news of various topics including celebrities love affairs and helpful tips regarding online dating.

Kids' Palm Leaves Accessories

Making accessories using palm leaves, I am sure some of you have done this when you were kids. I have and these kids have just reminded me how fun it was. It is one of the things that I like about home - the kids. Seeing them simply brightens my day. For some reason these kids are just so close to me. Or maybe I get myself close to them because I have been longing of having my own kids.

Well enough with that, let's meet Basti. Basti is one of my kid neighbors. He came up to me one day boasting his cool eyeglasses and wristwatch that were made with green palm leaves. My childhood memories then became so vivid in my mind upon seeing this sight of him all smiles and proud with his green palm leaf eyeglasses and wristwatch on, which he made himself. Isn't he looking so gwapo (handsome) with those on?

My cousin's daughter Small (that's her nickname) also made herself an eyeglasses and then struck a pose too before my camera. She tried to struck a model-like pose.

It is fun looking at them so busy making these accessories and they were so good in it. It is nice to recall that once in my life, I was as cool and as creative as these kids for I have made and worn these cool accessories too. Lol! So, were you as cool and creative as these kids too? Have you ever made yourself an eyeglasses and wristwatch made of green palm leaves too when you were kids?

Btw, you can only make these things with green palm leaves and not with the withered ones for the latter is curled in and easily breaks.

Stop Blaming!

I am sick of these people blaming me for my father's condition saying I didn't take care of him and that I neglected him. What's worse is that mostly the people who blame are those outsiders.

What do they know about us, about my family and about me? How do they do know I am neglecting my father. Are they watching my every move? Are they monitoring me 24/7? Did they put a hidden camera in every place I am present that they know everything. Geezz!

Photo not mine

They do not know nor they have no right to know. They have no right to give the less-needed blame toward me and toward any of my family member. We are not even blaming each other for what happened. If there's one who should be blaming it would be me toward my mother for turning her back on him but no, I didn't and will never do.

As what I have said to those people who blamed me just recently, my father' condition is due to his bad habits and age. He knows that. I, we never once neglected our father. We have given him the freedom and joy to be just at home instead of letting him work. He does what he wants to do. He drinks what he wants to drink. He eats what he wants to eat. We are giving him the freedom to enjoy life in his own way but of course, we are guiding him, sometimes scolding him when we need to.

After delivering my piece to those blaming outsiders, they only granted me their ignorant remarks that only showed how hard it was for them to just mind their own lives. We don't need the blame as it doesn't help. An advise or two, well wishes and heartfelt concerns; these are all we need.

Father's Visit to The Doctor

I accompanied my father to a health center here in Dipolog City last week. He decided to be checked by a different doctor as the previous one didn't gave him the relief he hoped for. He had been coughing and feeling weak still after a week of medication. So I did took him to a different health center, the one that is located close to my apartment.

It was Agape Health Center that we went to. It was our first time there. There were quite a lot of patients waiting in line when we arrived. Thankfully though, the clinic has four specialists; a pediatrician, a cancer specialist, a gynecologists and the other one's for those who don't have serious ailments, which is my father current doctor now. Only though the clinic has one reception area and one secretary/assistant to assist all patients. Still though, the secretary did a great job in assisting us. We didn't wait that long for father's name to be called in for his check-up

The check-up went well. The findings of the doctor to my father's condition was quite scary but he assured he'll do everything. He even said he'll document dad's health.

Dad was given three sets of medicines to take for one week. I was told to take my father back to the health center after one week for further check-up. Dad's doctor's visit that day ended with an X-ray test.

This is the little area in my apartment that I call my little office. I did a major arrangement in the apartment. The entertainment cabinet that was in place with where my computer is at now was moved adjacent to that corner and now serves as the divider between our little kitchen and living room. I did it all alone, the moving.

I purposefully place the computer next to the couch so I can easily lay down when I need to. I keep myself from lying down in that couch though for the next thing I know it is already 9 or 10 in the morning.
These are the things you can usually see on my computer desk; a cup of coffee, crackers, C2 or other bottled juice, ash tray, lighter and smoke. And oh, I always have that blue notebook for recording purposes. It actually holds a lot of my online records now - the log-in records to my online accounts.

Do They Still Care?

My mother visited us in the apartment today. She happened to have a meeting at a cooperative bank wherein she is a loan center chief. She as well worked on my father's insurance policies in the said bank why she was there  I was glad that she thought of stopping by at the apartment before going home because she didn't do it the last time. I am always delighted by the sight of my mother. Even though she doesn't have an intimate relationship with my father anymore and has replaced him, I still have that high respect for her because she has been a good mother to us her children.

Although my parents are not talking as husband and wife anymore, I am just glad they keep being civil when a situation asks for them to be around each other. As much as possible though, as per my observation, they avoid each other. Just like in today's visit, father stayed upstairs the whole time mama was here. I didn't know if he avoided her on purpose or he was just tired to stay in his room for two to three hours. I don't know how they feel towards each other now. Do still care for each other at least? Base on my marriage situation right now, it seems like i am taking their lead.

In case you are in a situation like them and want to consider finding a new life partner, you might find one through online dating. Check out this free dating site and might as well sign up if you are interested. This free dating offers everything free. Thus, an unlimited access to a fun cyber dating.

Practical Home Décor

Keeping house, raising a family and holding a job is a lot of work and the reality is that probably more than a few things are slipping through the cracks. It’s hard to worry about maintaining and replacing things when you are busy from dawn to dusk; it can be difficult to even get to the store before it closes. Maybe you need new baby or kids bedding but there just isn’t time to shop – fortunately there is an easier way and you can tackle routine errands any time of the day or night.

The savviest shoppers know that going to retail stores to buy things like shower curtains and rods eats up a lot of time plus it means packing the kids in the car, fighting traffic and hoping to get a decent parking space – a lot of aggravation for the privilege of spending your hard-earned money. It’s so much easier when you shop online from the comfort and safety of home, especially if you live in a remote or under-stored area. Think about the stores where you normally buy you bath, bed and décor items and take a look online at their websites. They are open any time of the day or night, seven days a week so you no longer need to make your schedule conform to conventional retail store hours.

When you shop online you can actually enjoy a much greater selection than what you see at the local store because the goods are shipped from a central warehouse which can stock many more items than might be feasible in an individual store. If you have never bought anything online before it’s a good idea to stick with the big name stores you already know and trust because they will be more likely to stand behind the goods they sell should there be any kind of a problem.

The Unfaithfulness of a Friend

How many of you have experienced the unfaithfulness of a friend(s). How many of you have been unfaithful to the ones you called friends? I may have a lot of friends but only a few are the real, faithful ones. Just recently, I have faced a friend's unfaithfulness at his extent. Please though excuse me if I am not going to disclose a name as I still have a bit of respect left for him. But to your clue, I've talked about him in this blog for the last few months. I couldn't believe I cherished him that much to even post his face here.

Having him as a friend since college days was a real blessing until he messed our friendship up a few days ago. I trusted him enough to introduce him to my family and accepting him as part of our lives. I trusted him with all my secrets. I accepted him as a brother to feed him, to take him to family outings, to allow him to use my computer and other things he pleased and letting him stay in my apartment whenever he needs a place to stay. I and my family have nothing against him then because in exchange, he helped us in the house; he ran errands like paying bills, helped with the chores, picked and took my sisters in school and helped us out when we run out of monthly budget. He as well helped us when we moved to this apartment we are now living. He was a nice friend, that's what we thought until recently when I learned he was only using us, lying to us and milking from us.

The root of his unfaithfulness is none other than money. It's just recently when I fully realized that in every peso he gave to help us out he got a thousand in exchange. It was my sister who noticed at first. They had issues regarding the selling of my sister's two unused cellphones. I do not know the whole story but it was clearly told by my sister that she asked the 'friend' to sell her two extra phones since she was not using them and she was also in need of money at that time. The phones were sold but the 'friend' didn't give the money to my sister. The 'friend' also seldom visited us at the apartment since then. My sister believed he run away with the money.

Before it happened though, I already had some few unpleasant thoughts about the 'friend' because he kept borrowing money for fares, for his laundry and for other things. Since we move in the apartment, eveytime he helped out, we borrowed money little value at a time. It was okay for those were just 20, 50, and 100 pesos but he kept borrowing and not paying every single money he borrowed. Since I am the type who feel shy in asking repayments, I kept my peace on that and just waited on when he can pay back. He never paid back. Still, we continued treating him as a friend. My sisters gave him another chance on their phones-selling issues.

We hoped to turn everything back to normal for aside from the money issues, we have nothing against him. He may have thought he used us on some things but for us, those little things we did for him were help since he is as well was useful to us. Giving him another chance though turned out to be the stupidest move we did for we gave him a chance to use us and milk from us to the extent. Money had blinded him that he chose it in exchange to our great friendship. We exchanged heated conversation few days ago wherein he counted everything he did to help us. Such a shameless mammal he is! The money he milked from us may not be a lot but it was enough to buy a few sacks of rice. He's a one great liar and a one great milking asshole.

3 Niche Sites to Save You Money on Cool Services

posted by Rechie on , , , , ,

Business or otherwise, getting the most out of one’s hard-earned money is something a lot of people aspire to do on a daily basis. With prices of commodities going up and the purchasing power of just about any monetary currency shrinking, knowing which products and services provide the best value becomes a survival skill in these financially volatile times. And speaking of such services, here are three money-saving niche sites to check out:

1. PickyDomains.com

Statistics show that a normal person browsing the Internet on a regular basis forgets about nine out of ten new websites he visits. This just shows that a unique, appropriate and catchy domain that net surfers don't have trouble remembering is a must-have for website owners. The problem with domains nowadays, most of the good ones have already been registered. And the moment you start running out of ideas, a branding agency is a good option. But if you don't have a lot of cash to spend, there's crowdsourcing to turn to.

PickyDomains.com is an online naming service that uses the power of the Internet crowd to come up with names, slogans and domains that are relevant, catchy, easy-to-pronounce and unique. Established in 2007, PickyDomains.com now has a strong pool of 50,000+ contributors from different regions of the world. To immediately start receiving naming recommendations from this creative group of individuals, become a PickyDomains client by registering with the site, deposit $50 if you're looking for a domain or name (or $75 for a slogan) and set your naming guidelines. In case none of the hundreds, if not thousands, of suggestions you receive matches your set criteria, you get a refund, making the service absolutely risk-free.

2. Bitrix24.com

When people talk about intranets and CRMs for business collaboration and efficiency, piles and piles of dollars moving out of companies' pockets come to their minds. Well, who can blame them? Most of these applications nowadays can be really pricey.

Bitrix24.com is a corporate communications and collaboration application that's 100% free for small companies with a maximum of 12 employees. JetRadar combines several disparate work solutions - CRM for sales and transactions, file and document upload and sharing, real-time streaming, calendar and activity planner, social intranet, workforce monitoring - in a single platform. Also, Bitrix24 is cloud-based. Without installing anything, it can be accessed anywhere you are, whether through the use of a web browser or a smartphone. For bigger companies, an upgrade to unlimited users is pegged at a monthly subscription of $99.

3. JetRadar.com

If you're constantly on the go, you probably would agree that the best way to move around is still air travel. With the emergence of online ticket brokers and low-cost airlines, air travel has become significantly cheaper. But with this piece of good news comes some sort of a bad news for the perennial deal hunter. Customers wanting to get their hands on the best and cheapest airfare offers would have to skim through multiple flight and airline sites to search and compare until he/she finally finds the best possible.

JetRadar.com is a metasearch engine that systematically goes through 700+ airline sites and hundreds of ticketing and flight sites to search for the best and cheapest promotional offers, and makes the data readily available in a single web address. This reduces, if not eliminates, the time and energy needed to come up with the most economically attractive airfare ticket.

Online Life Is Back

My online life is back finally. I had my CPU fixed yesterday afternoon. Thanks to my sister Cheep for accompanying me and for inspiring me to get it fixed. If not for her restaurant menu-making project, I won't have the drive to take the CPU to Octagon and strictly instruct the repairman to fix it fast and perfect unlike the last time. So far it is working fine and hopefully it will still be well in the following days for the sake of my sister's project and for my online job, my online life.  I am so happy to be back in the online world. I will certainly be busy in the following days helping my sister in her menu-making project, blogging, and blog designing.

Turning Your Bed Waterproof

Everything seems done light and easy nowadays. Isn't it what we want, make and live life easier? Being a housewife for a couple of years, I do understand the wives cries regarding hard and heavy household burdens for I do face those household burdens too. Well, at least with the help of the new electronic help boxes that we can afford to bring home with us, we are but thankful for the help they give, making our daily life lighter and easier, allowing us to multitask. Still though, there are some things in the house that we need to do the hard way, thus, heavy burdens.

So what are these heavy burdens that I am talking about here? They are none other than the heavy mattresses covers, bed sheets and comforters that get heavier when soaked in water. Washing these stuffs can truly exhaust one down her bones. That is why washing the said home essentials are done very seldom, especially the mattresses. Wives, housemaids, laundry workers and those who are facing the burden of washing big and heavy sheets at least twice a month surely have their share of the story. Sorry are those who are doing the washing manually or those who can't afford a laundry service. Well, there is a solution to this. To keep yourself from the burdens of washing heavy mattresses and sheets, why not get the branded protective and waterproof mattress covers on your next purchase of home essentials.

Since sheets and mattresses covers usually get dirtied and stained from liquids such as kids and elders' pee and poop, sodas, sauce and soups, using a waterproof sheet over a waterproof mattress makes the cleaning and washing easier. It will be just about wiping off the liquids when using waterproof bed covers! Why not try it? To learn more about these products and to find other waterproof home essentials, visit http://www.parentgiving.com/. Don’t forget to check on the freedom grip economy beds that are very useful for the elderly.

Still Blogging

It's been a long time since I last posted an update here. Do my blogging friends missed me? I hope you do.

Wow, it feels like I have been away from the blog land for a decade. My online situation is quite unpleasant. I have an active internet connection but I have no computer to use for it, which is truly suck. I am still waiting for miracles from heaven as to when I'll be able to buy a replacement computer or at least, or I may say much better a CPU based on my online needs.

SO here goes the quick update to let you know that I still blog and still waiting on the funds for my new computer. Hopefully it will arrive before this month ends. Have a pleasant evening/morning to you all!

Few Life Updates

I heard that Google had once again cast its wand on blogs Page Rank. Fortunately, Google's wand didn't do a magic on this blog and on my other blogs. It didn't touch anything, didn't increase nor decrease the PR to my contentment. I've read my co-bloggers' complaints about their PR loss. I feel sorry for them, especially those who are like me who are quite depending on the earnings they get off blogging. Blogging is a bit tricky now and honestly, I am slowly getting tired of it. There were issues about the number of links and understanding it gave me headache. So I decided to blog just for the fun of it.

On the other note, there were lots of things going on with me and my family that I have not yet mentioned. This is as well for my husband to know about what's going on with my life as he constantly visits my blog lately.

First, I am happy that I and my husband are back communicating. I am again inspired to write daily updates about me here in this blog. Here's his latest picture.

My parents, though unofficially separated are totally living their own lives apart from each other. My mother already has a new living partner while father is alone but has us, his daughters.
Last month, on the Holy Week, my sisters and I did a different kind adventure. We climbed the 3,003 steps to Linabo Peak. We did reach the very peak of Mt. Linabo together. It was such a tiring but enjoyable experience for the three of us.

Then recently, I had been in a motorbike accident. I run over a black dog that caused me some scratches, bruises and knee bone complication. Until now I still feel the impact of that accident as the bone in left knee is still hurting and walking on my left leg bothers me. Confined in a bed for two to three days due to a gland tumor complication after the accident is not bad though for I engaged into a mind blowing exercise by reading a mind blowing story of the Dark elf or Drow Drizzt Do'Urden.
Other mind and also fingers blowing exercise I did was playing my so far favorite Xbox game Dark Alliance II. I used my all-time favorite character Vhaidra Uoswiir, a drow or a dark elf monk. And what a coincidence because that idol character Drizzt Do'Urden in a book Dark Elf Trilogy I have been reading is a guest character in my favorite Xbox game Dark Alliance II. He'll be playable once the mastermind of the game Mordox defeated which I haven't yet. Thanks to my husband for buying this Xbox game.

On Personally Preparing You Own Wedding

Wedding is most important and special to women. Among the common occasions celebrated, I think it is the most well-prepared occasion as per the demands of the bride and the bride's party. If luckily the groom is someone who can give in to everything the bride demands, an extravagant wedding it will be. A meticulous and creative side of a woman comes out during the entire wedding preparation that they personally do or help with the preparation to assure of its perfection. Everything should be perfect, that's always in the bride's mind. I can say this for I've gone through all the good and bad side of preparing a wedding, the excitement of getting your hands on the preparation of your own wedding and the exhaustion of running here and there. Well, it was just my own wedding that I am referring to that was prepared at a last minute when it shouldn't be due to an untrustworthy wedding planner. Can you imagine the pressure?

One thing that should be checked when getting a planner to plan the wedding is to check the planner's standing in that field. Is the planner tested and trusted? That's one thing we failed to do. Preparing a wedding I must say is exciting but exhausting and pressuring. Everything must be prepared from littlest of a wedding stuff to the biggest. The exciting part which I like most (well all brides definitely like this part) is looking for the bridal stuffs: deciding on the design of a bridal gown, picking the bridal shoes, picking the flowers for the bridal bouquet, collecting the something old, something new and something blue and last but not least, picking the bridal jewelry including the tiara. Looking for the bridal jewelry though is easy and can be done at home for Online Bridal Jewelry has all the beauties a bride would want to sport to the envy of her guests. One that Online Bridal Jewelry boasts are the Angel Wings Pendants that are available in sterling silver, yellow gold, white gold and rose gold with and without diamonds with prices ranging from 99 to 700 plus in dollars. Of course, aside from the Angel Wings Pendants, Online Bridal Jewelry also has a wide selection of wedding bands and rings. Come check out!

How To Successfully Install Beauty and Clean Template?

If you have noticed, almost all my blogs are newly dressed into simple pre-made templates. I've gone weary of the old ones that I myself have designed.

In this blog, I used the Beauty and Clean template for a Blogger blog that I got free from btemplates.com. There were a lot of questions regarding the installation of this template. There were some users who have faced issues upon installing and have gone frustrated after several times of failure in their attempts to edit the 'these and those' of the template. Some questions were answered and some were not.  I am glad I have a bit of knowledge when it comes to html codes and because of that, I managed to successfully install this simple but elegant blogger template.

I would like to answer some of those question asked so I could be able to help those users to enjoy the beauty and cleanliness of this template. Oh, I do love the simplicity of this template big time!

So these are the following questions that I can answer based on my personal experience in the installation of this blog template.

How To add or change the Header Picture?
This blogger template comes with a Header Picture placed as 'gadget'. You can either use the default picture, which is the picture of the swans or change it to your desired picture. Picture size you are to used should be 808(w) x 298(h). You can use any picture no matter the height but retain the 808 width.

The dates of the blog posts show as "Undefined", how to fix it?
The first time I viewed this blog after installing this pre-maded template, the date of my blog posts came up "undefined" instead of the date. That was because the date and time settings of my blog (this blog) didn't meet the settings of this pre-made template. It is very simple to fix. Just go to the "Settings" of your blog then "Formatting" and follow the date and time settings as shown below.

Now for the menu in the navigation. Lots of users were having trouble regarding this. I try my best to answer the question as simply and as clearly as I possibly could.

How to edit, configure the Menu in the navigation bar?
I don't suggest deleting or taking the drop-down menu off the navigation bar (nav bar) because it will dis-beautify your blog. Instead, why not appreciate its usefulness?
Having that drop-down menu allows you to add links either to your other blogs or online pages or to your other pages from your blog as the navigation bar, as you can see only accommodates four links. I used my drop-down menu for my blog list and other link exchange programs. Now, how to edit the drop-down menus?

Go to "Design" then "Edit Html". Make sure you check the "Expand Widget Templates" then "Ctrl F" to find the "menu" code. Scrool down to number 33 in the "find" bar to find exact location of the menu and sub-menu codes. Then do your edits and save your template.

Chips and Noodles

I did climb the 3003 Steps in Mt. Linabo and even climbed up to the peak. It was tiring but it's worth the climb. I'll talk about it later in my Wherebouts. If you can't wait, you can read about Cheem's climb there last Holy Thursday as she climbed up reaching almost the peak of Mt. Linabo.

For now, let me just share this photo.
These are the foods we took with us on our climb - lots of chips and cup noodles. We brought us two liters of water too and four bottles of gatorade for the four of us (Pabz, me, Cheem and Cheep). Munching the chips kept us busy as we climbed up and down. What with the tissue paper? Well, I was so glad I brought it along because we all forgot to bring sweat towels.

PowerPoint presentation surely is one of your final projects in school. It surely is one of the tasks asked by your teachers to be passed before the final examinations. Talking about finals, it’s already been over here in our country but in some parts of the world is yet to start.

Creating Power Point presentation is easy as long as you know the basics. Base on my knowledge in Power Point, which I’ve learned only from self exploration/study and online tutorials, I can create cool presentations and even nice blog designs. Not to boast, I’ve even earned extra out of creating blog designs using Power Point. If you are determined enough as I was to learn PowerPoint, you can learn fast. Refer to the many tutorials available online. But if self study is not your thing, it is better to just listen attentively to your teacher.

An effective PowerPoint presentation requires good essay writing skills and creative PowerPoint techniques. Therefore, being expert in PowerPoint is not enough. You must also have good essay writing skills to create an effective PPT presentation. There are some who experts in making PowerPoint presentations but have poor skills in writing. They’ll just end up creating a slide of photos and stuffs. If you want to present an effective PowerPoint presentation, you can seek for services from experts in both. There are websites that offer custom powerpoint presentation for students and even for businesses.

Online Canadian Casinos

Gambling is not bad but when one seriously depends on it to the extent of making it a part of life and earn a living through it is absurd. I know a few who are intensely putting money on bets. There are some who are even borrowing money just to bet. That’s truly ridiculous. For me it is the laziest way to earn a living, to become well off in life. What if luck won’t pass your way? You’ll lose more than the prize.

Playing for fun is acceptable. I do gamble once in a while. I even went to casino houses a few times but only to enjoy the fun and challenges it brings. When my husband took me to one of the casino houses in Manila, I enjoyed the easy games in there. One is playing with slot machines. It was fun and well, frustrating too because I didn’t win back my bets.

Nowadays, betting on slot machines can be done in the comfort of your very own home, right in front your computer. Serious slot machine gamers should be thankful to the wonders of Internet for they don’t need to travel far to play in a casino for online casino games are brought on the world wide web for every gamers to enjoy. They can simply visit online casinos like Canadian dollar casinos and put their bets. I would go for slots Canada for an easy game. Canadian casinos surely are the safest online casinos to bet for as you know, Canadian government has tough regulations when it comes to online betting.

BRB, After MTV Exit Traffic Jam

I mentioned in my other blog about me attending the MTV Exit Traffic Jam last Friday, last week. It was a fun night. It was nice watching rock bands rocking and playing live metal music on stage again. I can't recall when I got interested into that genre of music but I am pretty sure it was hubby who influenced me. And to give in to a friend's invitation, I did go with my best friend Pabz. We enjoyed too much watching the live bands though that we forgot to take a single picture with our rocker friends at the venue.

Pabz and I. I was wearing the Traffick Jam shirt while Pabz had a Dig Deep tee on. Dig Deep is a personal clothing line of the owner of Bewear Apparels.

Jamming with Bewear Apparels owner (in blue) after the live concert for a cause at BRB (Balai Resto Bar).

Although we weren't able to take photos with our rocker friends who played at the Traffick Jam, we were able to jam with them after the concert at BRB. That guy showing off the Traffick Jam shirt, which I as well have - thanks to Bewear Apparels, is one of the members of Alice in Wonderland band, the band we cheered on to that night.
Aside from the shirt, I as well got this wrist band as remembrance. It was a one great night. I had a blast!!!

Seaweed Salad and Orange Chocolate Cake for Dinner

Toink! What a weird dinner combo! I planned on only having some seaweed salad for dinner last night as I've been craving for it. Besides, I've been majorly watching my food intake especially for dinner just so I could lose a bit of weight. But Cheep arrived from her baking class with a huge slice of Orange Chocolate Cake just in time for dinner. Sweet, I've been cutting on it but I couldn't resist the urge to taste my little sister's progress in baking. She just made me proud for the cake really tasted so good. It's even better than the cakes sold in the bakeshops here in Dipolog, seriously.

Gullom-Like Face

My sister made fun of me the other night while hanging out with our friends. She asked me to make funny faces for the camera. . She wanted to capture some poses of me as supposed to be pinned down by a huge ice bucket. My face turned out to look like Gullom...well, the eyes for most part.

My Precious!

I am sure you've already heard the name Gullom (originally Sméagol) in a hit fantasy-adventure trilogy Lord of The Rings. Gullom, a self-centred and egoistic creature apart from being cunning and deceitful is actually one of the most popular characters in the said trilogy and is one of my favorites for his "my precious". I like his sound of it and his face white uttering the words. It may be scary to some but he looks naughty and playful to me. Mentioning Gullom, I feel nostalgic for those times when hubby called me "my precious" in Gullom's voice. It then became one of our endearments aside from "buang". And when we call each other that endearment, we have to imitate Gullom voice.

The Earth Was Thrilled By the Coming of Hearts Day, They Said

I may be late to talk about this but earthquake hit in some parts of the Philippines this month, this year. It hit our area too five times but thankfully, it wasn't that disastrous like how it cracked the lands of Negros. For the first time in my 25 years of existence, I've experienced such horrifying work of nature. It was not even as hard as recent quake that hit Japan but it made my heart jumped with fear. It was my first time to experience that hard of an earthquake for five times in a day. Must it be what others have said, the end of the world?

Photo not mine.

It occurred around noon. I was in my apartment, well, obviously as a blogger I was in front my computer while my father was outside drinking coconut wine and sister was upstairs sleeping when the shake happened. It wasn't that hard at first, merely unnoticeable but moments later the earth shaken me off my computer chair. Then I heard people outside screaming, "earthquake! earthquake!" Father hurried inside to call us out. We three then hurried outside the apartment to join our neighbors on the road in panic. It is advised to be outside a building when there's earthquake, preferably on a ground under a clear sky to avoid falling objects. We followed it. God knows how scared I was, we were rather. I was both worried for our safety and so as my mother because she was far form us.

Since it happened nearly Valentine's day, some youngsters here joked around saying the Earth was thrilled for it was almost time to celebrate the hearts day. Tsk, youngsters! They've managed to laugh about it while the people wherein the disastrous quake fell had suffered with horror. The horror was further intensified by the tsunami alarm. My mother that day sent us all a message that we should all gather together and run to a higher ground. If the Earth that day was thrilled for the coming of Valentine's day, it sure was in a bad way. I hope and pray that it will not happen again.

I am pointing to this blog that climbed back up to PR3. After the dilemma of keeping an unproductive blog due to low page rank + default-domained, this blog finally got its rank back. It was just a week ago when I received and boasted my PR2 blog shirt, which is a prize I won from a giveaway using this blog. Yet now, after celebrating that winning, I am celebrating another winning, which is this blog's page rank. I am very thankful to Google for giving back this blog's rank. Thank you! For how long will I enjoy this current page rank? Do your blogs' page ranks climbed up too?

Sharing A Heart Touching Story of A Little Boy

You surely have read this story already over the internet. I remember I've read it once way back but reading this story again made me teary-eyed. And I couldn't help but share it to you. It is worth reading.

photo not mine

Really heart touching! Read it PLEASE though its too long!

I was walking around in a Big Bazar store making shopping, when I saw a Cashier talking to a boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old.

The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll. Then the little boy turned to me and asked: ''Uncle, are you sure I don't have enough money?''
I counted his cash and replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy the doll, my dear.'' The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to. 'It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much . I wanted to Gift her for her BIRTHDAY.

I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.' His eyes were so sad while saying this. 'My Sister has gone to be with God.. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister...'

My heart nearly stopped. The little boy looked up at me and said: 'I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.' Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me 'I want mommy to take my picture with her so my sister won't forget me.' 'I love my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.' Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. 'Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?''

'OK' he said, 'I hope I do have enough.' I added some of my money to his with out him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.
The little boy said: 'Thank you God for giving me enough money!'

Then he looked at me and added, 'I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give It to my sister. He heard me!'' 'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. My mommy loves white roses.'

I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind. Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl. The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma. Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.. I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial. She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest. I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever...

The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.

Here's me wearing my PR2 blog shirt. This is so far the third blog shirt I received. It fits very well on me although I am expecting a little room for a medium-sized shirt. I wore this last night to a night out party with friends (I was invited). I came home around two in the morning and before hitting the hay, I stopped for a while to take pictures of me wearing the shirt using my webcam. Again, thank you Miss Gagay for hosting such awesome giveaway.
