Be A Chic Chubby

Gaining weight is really frustrating especially if you are used to wearing your small-sized clothes and pants. You will miss wearing those clothes that fits your sexy and slender body pretty good. I actually gain a lot of weight for over two years and all the clothes and pants that I used to wear were now given to my sisters. Since I gain more weight now, I can no longer wear my old dresses and clothes. Lately, I went to the mall trying to find something that would interest me but I couldn’t find one. Those are just the same old styles I always see every time I go there.

Although gaining weight is such a frustration, it doesn’t mean that you can’t be sexy and fashionable. Raise your eyebrow and put your chin up high because Simply Be is here that sells Womens Plus Size dresses, pants and more fashionable plus size clothes. You can visit the site yourself and be amazed with their amazing styles you will never be out fashioned. I actually had my pick, a pink Corsage Trim Dress. I like its satin ribbon and corsage tie belt complimenting the beauty of my two boastful humps and my chubby curve. It has a length of 45 inches with full polyester lining. The Corsage Trim Dress can simply turn me into a sexy chubby and chic.

Yes, I received my gifts and my orders today from Ate Tammy though Ari21. Ate Tammy, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude here for giving me one of your precious collections, the heart-shaped jewelry box. It is so cute and pretty. I never expected that you would seriously do it. At first I thought she was only joking when she said that she will send me one. Now, it's already in my hands. Other than the jewelry keepsake, she also sent me a very beautiful KREATIV shirt with "I'm A Blogger" printed in front. I do love this shirt very much (wink). Wew, I am proud being a blogger even though my English sucks. Thank you so, so much ate Tammy. I do appreciate the thought of giving me this shirt as an additional gift. Click here for larger photos.

She also sent me my orders I purchased from her botique; Love Spell Cologne Spray and Endless Love Lotion from Victoria's Secret. If you want to buy girls' stuffs, just visit her sites: Forgetful Princess and Anything Under the Sun.

Five Preferred Wedding Songs Meme

posted by Rechie on ,

Grace of My Wedding Day passed this meme to me. Thank you so much for the thought of including me in the list sis and I am so sorry for posting this very late.Actually, I cannot remember if I heard the songs I requested to the wedding planner for the wedding. I remember I made a list of songs that I wanted to be played from the wedding march to the newly wed’s dance. I really cannot remember now if those songs were played. It’s understandable because all I heard during that very special day was my own breathing and heartbeat. Oh, I can still remember the rhythm of my drum-like heartbeat as I was walking down the aisle to the altar where my baby hunky was waiting for me. I still remember the words he said to me before he marched, “baby, don’t let your knees locked, bent them a little bit so you’ll not pass out”. All those things were remembered except the songs.

These were the songs in my list:
1. I Finally Found Someone – [ groom’s and entourage’s march]
2. For All Of My Life – [bridal march]
3. I Don’t Know Much – [wedding dance]
4. When A Man Loves A Woman – [wedding dance]
5. You Mean The World To Me – [wedding dance]

(You can listen to my songs fromthe playlist below if you want.)

Meme Rules:
1. Choose any song that fits the event. Any artist and genre will do.
2. Post your answers and tag five people in your list.
3. Don't forget to mention and link the person who invited you to play.

I am going to break the rules because I am passing this meme to Demcy, Mommyelvz, Cacai, UtotmoPink, Hopeful, Momgen, Ate Vhing, Ate Madz, Lisgold, Umma, Allen's Darling, Shy, Mom of Four, Maxi, Jacy, Ate Beth, Betchay, Jenny, Clarissa, Belle, Maus, Shydub.

Another Disappointment

posted by Rechie on

As you have noticed, I was absent in blogging these past few days. I was not motivated to write because of disappointment. A disappointment that was felt not only by me but as well felt by my hubby.

Last week, I was not feeling good. I had a problem with my menstrual period. It was delayed and I only had spots of blood for four days, very different from my normal cycle. I felt little headache then suddenly I felt like throwing off. I had a sudden change of appetite, my mood was constantly changing, and my sense of smell got too sensitive. There were times that I didn’t feel like eating. Symptoms of being pregnant! It sounds like a baby’s cry in my head. My husband came out with that conclusion as well and so did I.

We were so excited. Those happy smiles I saw from hubby’s lips, God it was heaven. I know he was expecting and God knows how I was wishing that it was the time. I have been disappointing my husband every time I am having my normal period and I am disappointing myself as well. So, I prayed so much that that was it, the moment hubby and I have been waiting for…but…

Yesterday was another disappointment for the both of us. I stopped by the drug store to buy pregnancy test after my class. I didn't think of going to a doctor unless I get myself checked by myself. That's me, actually my hubby called me "Doctor Rechie" whenever I am acting like a doctor. So, when I got home I then hurried to the bathroom to do the test. To my disappointment, I am negative. Although hubby said it’s ok, I know very well he was disappointed with my revelation. Well, it’s not the time yet I guess. Sometimes, I am thinking the reason why I can’t be pregnant again is because I wasted one. I am hoping He will still give me a chance to feel that moving bump in my stomach again and I promise I’ll take care of it.

Your Guidance To Long Distance Relationship

posted by Rechie on ,

Are you in a long distance relationship or have you tried? If your answer is yes, you surely know how hard it is on both hearts being far from each other. Of course, we do not like the situation but there are circumstances that leave us no choice. One main reason is work. It usually happens to married couples and to interracial relationships. Being in a long distance relationship, it is possible that both can think of those worthless thinking and endure the feeling of anxiety over nonsense things, not to mention the headache on how to handle kids’ behavior for having only a parent. Those nonsense things can make us weak to fight temptations. Sometimes, it even leads to totally broken relationships.

During those times of worries, all you need is a little advice and support from those who have gone through a long distance relationship already. Whenever you feel down in your relationship, just head on to wait.com where you can seek help and support from the testimonials of people who have already experienced Long Distance Relationships. You can as well find forums, videos and read their helpful advices and tips on how to preserve your relationship and succeed.

I wanted to greet her belated Easter Sunday so I rushed to her post for Easter Sunday and left a comment failing to notice the latest post which features my Chuchie’s Hideaway blog. Later on, she visited me back saying I missed something while I was at her blog. So I visited back, and to my surprise I called my husband to look at it. It was very overwhelming and flattering. To Ate Grace, thank you so much for noticing and for appreciating my work. It feels so good knowing that somebody has noticed it. Thank you very much Ate Grace for featuring me on your Recommendation Monday. You rock. God bless you and more blessing to come to your blog.

I am tagged by Kcat. Thank you so much for this enjoyable tag to post my friend. This tag is all about those things that are not really important yet for some reasons, they bring happiness into our everyday lives that spending money for them is not a waste for they make us happy. So here are my list of 6 unimportant things:

1. My Butterflies. They are scattered everywhere in the house. I just love them; they are all beautiful. Here are some of my butterflies;

2.Cigarettes. I guess I can't stop this addiction no more. Even how hard I tried, I just cannot resist them.

3. Make-ups. I love make-ups even though I am not really using them. I just love storing it inside my kit.

4. Coke. Although, people said that coke can cause urine infection and can make me fat but drinking coke gives me more satisfaction than drinking water.

5. Nail Polish. I so love them. I am changing my nail polish everyday, it only means I am buying different nail color everyday.

6. Jewelries. The most unimportant things I have because I am not really using them especially the big jewelries. I just love storing them in their boxes and checking them everyday if they are still intact.

It's His Resurrection Day

posted by Rechie on

Yesterday, Black Saturday was mourning day. Silent and Solemnity was observed not only in the city but also in the other provinces here in the Philippines. Later at night, people gathered in the church for Easter Vigil.

Today, very early in the morning, a dawn ceremony that we called (Salubong/Tagbo) “meeting” happened, wherein statues of the Resurrected Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mother Mary, are brought in procession part ways. All the men followed the statue of Jesus Christ while all women followed the statue of Virgin Mother Mary, until both statues met on the church, visualizing the first reunion of Jesus Christ and His Mother Mary after He Resurrected. The black veil of Mother Mary was then pulled by the leader of the little girls dressed as angels while singing Regina Coeli, signifying the end of Her sorrow as well as the sorrow of all Jesus Christ’s followers, us. Then, the Joyous Easter Mass followed. Happy Resurrection Day to all.

Regina Coeli
Regina caeli, laetare, alleluia:
Quia quem meruisti portare. alleluia,
Resurrexit, sicut dixit, alleluia,
Ora pro nobis Deum, alleluia.
...translation...

Queen of Heaven, be joyful, alleluia:
For He whom you merited to bear, alleluia,
Has risen, as He said, alleluia.
Pray for us to God, alleluia.
Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia.
For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia.

Goor Friday and The Last Seven Sayings

posted by Rechie on

Good Friday, also called Holy Friday, Great Friday or Black Friday, is a religious holiday mostly observed by Christianity believers commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and His death at Golgotha. It is the very day when Jesus Christ saved our sins and died for us. Before Jesus Christ died on the cross, he uttered seven last sayings.

1. "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do."
This first saying of Jesus upon the cross was Jesus' prayer for forgiveness for those who were crucifying Him: the Roman soldiers, and apparently for all others who were involved in His crucifixion.
2. "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise." This is the line that Jesus replies to the other crucified thief who supports Jesus innocence and asks Him to remember him when He comes into His kingdom.
3. "Woman, behold your son: Behold your mother."
"Woman, behold your son" is what Jesus told to His mother and "behold your mother" to His disciples.
4. "Eli Eli lama sabachthani?" or "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Around the ninth hour in the cross, He shouted this line out loud.
5. "I thirst."
This line represents the total humanity of Jesus Christ, His thirst for God.
6. "It is finished".
Jesus announcement of His completed work which is atonement.
7. "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit".
Jesus uttered this before His last breath.

With all the burdens we made that Jesus carried and washed, the least thing we can do to repay His goodness is to avoid ourselves from committing sins. Have a good day to all!

Have a Good Friday to All

I wish all of you had a Good Friday for my husband and I do. Yes, we have a Good Friday although, as what as I used to, all the big establishments and stores here in Dipolog City were close except those small stores in the market. I was worried I couldn’t buy fruit crops for my Binignit. There was even no traffic today. That was one thing that made our Friday Good for we were not able to witness and race along racing tricycle drivers in the road today. My husband was amazed when we arrived at the wet market for there was no crowd, only fish vendors and some of the fish buyers were there. I whispered “I told you, no meat.” So, we bought a kilo of fish for hubby’s lunch and dinner. After that, we bought the needed ingredients for my Fruit Crops and Vegetable Stew. The stew was a good fill and it was enough for me for the whole day.

Rustic Log Bed

posted by Rechie on ,

Hubby and I have been thinking of getting a bed that is made of wood. We are thinking that it would complement our room’s whole setting. We are a big fan of beautifully made wood furniture especially if it has some arts and carvings added to it. Almost all our furniture in the house is made of wood except our beds. I was thankful that I came across a site that sells western furniture. Now, I can finally tell hubby where to find the bed we need. While looking at their samples, Rustic Log Bed is the one that meet our expectation. It is a king size bed with metal construction on the side rails surrounded by Red Cedar wood. Thinking about the wall paint of our room, the Red Cedar wood would go along with it. The bed is fully hand crafted. We like the way they made it; it is very artistic giving the room a scenic view.

Fasting on Maundy Thursday

posted by Rechie on

Yesterday (Maundy Thursday) was supposed to be the last heavy meal since today is Good Friday or Fast Day, meaning lesser or lighter amount of food intake, replacing meat into fish or as much as possible no meat at all but yesterday seemed to be our fasting day because my husband and I didn’t eat all day.

(It's me with Ate Chin)
We already know that we are going to be picked up at two in the afternoon by Ate Chin and Dennis (Thursday hangout owner) to go to Bud and Ate Melchie’s house in Polanco to spend our Maundy Thursday. Since my husband and I slept late on the Wednesday night, we got up as late as one in the afternoon. So, we only have an hour to fix ourselves. The problem was the water pressure; it took 30 minutes just to fill the bucket. So, we finally got ourselves ready when we thought of foods. We have to fill our stomachs with food before filling them with alcohol. It was 15 minutes before 2:00 pm when we almost finished cooking when our friends arrived. Shy of letting them wait, we decided to just chill the foods in the fridge and just skip lunch.

You know what time we get home? We get home almost midnight. My hubby was so drunk and hungry. Good thing I fought myself from drinking liquors today or else we were both drunk. I fixed hubby’s dinner and let him eat right away before I let him go to bed. It was a crazy, fun day (to be posted tomorrow)! Gotta go to bed now. Have a happy Holy Day to all!

What is Maundy Thursday?

posted by Rechie on

This post is for Maundy Thursday. I hope this is not that late. I would like to share with you something I learned from wikipedia.org about Maundy Thursday and what this Holy Day means and what is it all about.
Maundy Thursday (also known as Holy Thursday or Great and Holy Thursday), is the Christian feast or holy day falling on the Thursday before Easter that commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles. It is the fifth day of Holy Week, and is preceded by Holy Wednesday and followed by Good Friday. In 2009, Maundy Thursday will occur on April 9 for Western Christian traditions including Roman Catholicism and on April 16th for Eastern Christian traditions including most Orthodox Churches.
On this day four events are commemorated: the washing of the Disciples' Feet by Jesus Christ, the institution of the Mystery of the Holy Eucharist at the Last Supper, the agony of Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane, and the betrayal of Christ by Judas Iscariot.

KC's First Birthday

posted by Rechie on ,

I attended my god-daughter's first birthday party last March 28, this year. The party was held in Rock Garden in Manukan. I was overwhelmed with how the mother of the celebrant, who happened to be my friend given me special attention that day as if I did big help for the party. I only made the party tickets, that's all. The second picture below is the picture of the birthday celebrant, Kimbercel and her mom, Jeizel. The father, a relative of mine was busy talking to the visitors the moment I took the picture. The party was well organized; the overall setting. Unlike my wedding day, the guests or the visitors silently walking in the entrance after submitting their tickets. As soon as the visitors are inside, some members of the family of the celebrant accompanied the visitors to their seats. It was the most peaceful, well organized yet enjoyable (the foods) party I have ever attended.
Gifts from the early comers
and the celebrant's pretty pink disney cake.

I really had fun at the party. Some of our friends, including our gay friends were invited. So, it was like a reunion for I haven't gone home to Manukan since December. It was nice talking to them and exchanging jokes with them again.

Before I left the party, Jeziel gave me a party giveaway, a beautiful pink angel.
