Shoot Me: 17 of 52

You may noticed I've been silent here lately. That was because after suffering from flu for 5 days, I had a serious sinus infection. It made half of my face painful particularly on brow, under the eye and cheek area. I can't believe I got sick like that but the sinus infection is slowly going away now.
Well, enough for the sickness topic. Allow me to share you this picture of me and my friends taken during one of those 'party party' moments. This picture is one of my most treasured picture with friends since I enjoyed that night a lot. This photo was taken before hubby left.

Wohoo, I got an award. What a bonus for feeling better and being back in blogging! Being back which is visiting and reading friends' post and not just hop and drop which I've been doing while I was sick. I know I am not totally ok as I still have some colds but at least I graduated from having a fever. Anyway,  this is a very flattering award, Beautiful Blogger I got from Elai's Precious Angels. Thank you so much for this award my new blogging sis and of course, for always visiting me here. Thank you so much!
The Rules:
• Thank and link to the person that gave you the award.
• Pass this award onto 10 bloggers you’ve recently discovered and think are fantastic.
• Contact said Blogs and let them know they’ve won
• State 7 things about yourself

I posted 7 things about myself to my other blog, WhereAbouts but allow me to write down another 7 things about myself.
  1. I got a permanet tattoo and I boast it. It is a butterfly tattoo with colors of American flag. Yes I am marked, an American's wife.
  2. I fear needles and having this tattoo doesn't mean I no longer fear.
  3. I haven't forgiven myself yet for committing a very murderous decision. I haven't confessed either to let myself suffer with guilt which is what I deserve.
  4. I am prank and outspoken only to people I care about.
  5. I love my family (parents and siblings) more than anything in this world, next to God that if I have to choose between them and my husband, I would choose my family. My husband knows that.
  6. I find it hard eating alone on the dining table during meal thing.
  7. I don't know if you find it ridiculous but when I feel that my feet are dirty, as in with sands I get from walking on the floor barefooted, I feel my whole body is dirty and that I need to take a bath.
Many of my friends in the blog land surely have already received this award.  So, please allow me to be lazy and selfish this time. Just let me just keep this award.

It is important to have a life insurance, that I understand now. Before, it sounds weird for me. Getting one for myself seems like I am throwing myself in the middle of danger all the time. Some for sure can relate to that thinking. But I got to understand the importance of life insurance since I realized that accidents happen without warning. And frankly speaking, we do not know when unfortunate events in our lives occur. With life insurance, we are assured the return of any financial loss for medical stuffs. Life insurance is very helpful to cover up any medical expenses during this kind of emergency. Thus, helping us out financially when we need it the most.
Getting a life insurance though is not easy sometimes. There are some insurance companies who are quite strict with the requirements. Some insurance companies will let you go through a lot of paper works and medical examinations. There is a bunch of hassle. When you are troubled applying for life insurance from those hassle insurance companies, I suggest you try an insurance company that gives you less hassle. Why  not try No Exam Life Insurance? Yes, you read it right, an insurance company that won't bother you to go through a bunch of hassle with medical examinations. Try its free insurance quote now!

Feeling Better Now

I am feeling better now after 4 days of having a flu. I couldn't believe I caught it. I just mentioned just last week that it's been a while since I got seriously sick with flu and yet got it for 4 or 5 days. My resistance to sickness seemed lowered by depression. I hope I'll get over with it and stay strong. Anyway, I give my mom a warmest thanks for taking care of me even for a day. She never fails to give love and support whenever we need her. Her presence and tender care totally healed  me that now I feel better. Thanks ma for the head and back massage. It's been a while since my mom gave it to me. It was very effective. A mom's love really is one  of a kind. It is  unconditional and beyond compare.

CC: Sensitivity & Hardest Days Of Marriage

Rodliz’s Nest
I cannot count now on how many days I did miss the fun conversation about love and marriage at Couple's Corner. I know for sure I missed a lot of days, about more than a month of CC topics actually. I know I can't catch up with those topics last month but at least this month. That's why I am posting about the last week's topic also which is "Sensitivity".

My sensitivity has something to do with the hardest days of my marriage life. Yes, I am a lot more sensitive than hubby especially during the first year of marriage. It was not easy getting along with someone who has different ways, views and insights of life from you. Living with a foreign person and adapting some of his foreign ways was quite hard. I always broke down due to sensitivity when we fought over little things. I was so sensitive about little things that most of the time causes our fights for it lead to reminiscing the bad thing happened in our past - my encounter with my husband's ex-gf, the Cebu Girl. I was so sensitive when I get to reminisce those days.

Now for the hardest days of our marriage life, there are two circumstances so far. First was the first year of marriage for it was the adaptation year. It was hard. There were a lot of debates over opposing thoughts and ways. There were lots of fight over little things like sensitivity, jealousy and some narrow stuffs. The second hardest days happened recently starting from taking my husband to Mactan Airport to go back to states. Thinking about the temporary separation, the distance and the absence of your partner physically is hard. Even though you can talk to each other everyday through the wonders of Internet, still there is emptiness for you still long for a touch, a kiss, and an embrace.

I Am Sick Again

I do not know why I am so weak and sick these past few days. I don't know if this is the result of feeling lonely and empty or a result of a sudden quitting of smoke. I really do not know. I am also worried about this Dengue fever. The thought of it making me paranoid, making me feel I am having the fever that only make me more sick and weak. The problem, I can't stop thinking of the fever. I am more scared after I heard on the news last night that there is one region that is under a state of calamity due to dengue fever. Oh please, when will this fever leave us all alone!?
Just 3 days ago, I was suffering with swollen tonsils and colds that cause headache. It was hard to swallow foods yet I was able to get through it. I am glad last night, the swelling on my tonsils are gone but it turned into cough. Now I have colds and cough plus headache. Today, I woke up with body or muscle pain. And then I feel so hot inside but when you touch on my skin, I'm cold as if nothing's wrong. I really don't know what's going on with me. I am hoping though that this is just an ordinary flu I got from our constantly changing weather. Right now I am taking medicines for flu. I hope, I'll get better soon.

Get A Private Number Plate

How do you like to have private number plates for your motorcycles and vehicles? I have been driving my bike for almost four years having my own personalized private plate and I've been liking it. I actually paid for an authorization paper for it so I can freely use it. It's just made of plastic with my name on it on top of the numbers. Anyway, I came across a site that offers private and personalized number plates to customers. It as well allows customers to sell their very own cherished number to other customers if they don't feel like using their own number plate no more. I read good reviews about the site so I'm sure it is a secure site to buy your private number plate. Check out the site now and acquire a private number plate for your own vehicle.

I am thinking something dirty about the title (wink) but anyway, Sunday Stealing steals and it only ripped this meme off a blogger and blog called Foxymoron. Lol. Well, I am playing along even though I don't feel ok. I will explain why later.

Cheers to all of us thieves!

1. At what time of your life were you happiest and why? The happiest I guess was my husband's first Christmas here in the Philippines. That Christmas made me feel so complete for I was surrounded by my family who love me.

2. Where and when did you meet the love of your life? Sometime in June 2006 at prettypinay.com now preciouspinays.com.

3. Favourite item of clothing ever or most treasured possession? My favorite item of clothing is my red collard shirt with a huge butterfly print on the back. It is kinda worn out now but still keeping it. I love it!

4. Must-have makeup or beauty item? ponds pearl cream and pore conditioning toner

5. What do you think is your worst vice or fault .. honestly? I think about worse thing to happen, most of the time

6. Would you tell your friend, if you knew her husband/wife was cheating on her/him? I would be doubtful to tell or not coz for me if I am in a situation, I rather not know but I'll surely investigate. Meaning, if ever my husband will do it, he should play it safely with no trace. Cheating can be an art, if you are not caught. If you are caught, you are nothing but just a lousy flesh greedy.

7. What ambitions, wishes or desires, for your life, do you still hold close to your heart? To be able to finish my course and get a good job here in my country and of course, visit US one day.

8. Where do you see yourself five years from now? In my office of my own business, it could be a botique  (for all including wedding, prom, casual clothing, etc.) or an interenet cafe. Or I would be working in a call center company, I hope.

9. If you had the choice of any talent with the penalty that you would lose a talent in exchange, what would you want to gain, and what would you be willing to loose? None. I am happy with what talents I have. I think I got everything I needed and I thank God for that.

10. Name three things that you do want completed in your life before retiring? Building "Wilks Garden". It is a dream hubby and I made 3 years ago. It is a wedding venue for a garden wedding. And when you say garden, yes a garden as in you'll see fruits, vegetables, flowers, trees, vines, ferns, etc.

11. Of all of the people out there who would have been your fantasy date? Date, not romance...I fantazise of dating my husband physically but it seems impossible to happen. We'll just have a date online then.

12. Google put another spell on you, you have just changed genders for 48 hours... what are you going to do with your 2 days? Gezz, i'll pick up a lot of girls for sure as long as they are free. LOL.

13. If you owned your own island, and got to make it your own country, what would you call it? And why? I would call it Rechland from my name Rechie and poeple living there would be Rechiens.

14. If you rubbed the lamp and got 3 wishes, what would they be? Good health for my whole family, Strenght to face problems and world peace. I am tired hearing people killing people when Dengue is enough problem that kills a lot of people.

15. What is your earliest memory of puberty? It was 11 years when I had my first menstruation which freaked the crap out of me and I was scared telling it to mom.

16. If you got banished to your Island alone and could only bring 5 things, what would they be? I make sure i have my clothes and slippers on then i make i got my phone and it should be fully charged so I can call for help whenever I need to.

Food Trip Friday No. 1

I am fully decided to close my kitchen blog and incorporate my post about foods and everything related to kitchen in this blog. As what i mentioned before I accept now that I am not for the kitchen. I cook almost the same recipe everyday like fried, boiled, grilled, sauteed foods. I can cook the best adobo you can ever taste but that's about it and I do not have time to read my cook books either for I'll be occupied with computer works first thing in the morning when I wake up. So yes, there is no more Chuchie's Kitchen Adventure.

So today, this blog is joining the blog land's food trip happening every Friday. As my first post for the meme, I am sharing these foods below which also shared by hubby. These are some of the foods they feast over on Labor Day.
I would like to thank hubby's sister for taking the photos for me and thanks for hubby for sending the photos. I know these foods except the foods in the last photo. I have a feeling those are enchaladas.

It is shoot me time. I am sharing today another unseen photo of me. It is an old photo taken in 2008 during a house party at the house hosted by me and hubby. It was an exclusive house party only for my college friends and my favorite teacher. We had a blast that day and we were tipsy over few rounds of beers. We also enjoyed singing on the videoke I rented. We started the party at around 2 in the afternoon and lasted until 10 in the evening. It was fun!

Watch "I AM Legend" Online

I Am Legend is one of the best movies of Will Smith I've ever watched. It's a movie with four combined genres: horror, science fiction, action and a slight touch drama which overall made the movie sophisticated. Although the ending was very heart breaking because Will Smith had to sacrifice himself as the only way to kill the monsters for the sake of others to live, I still want to watch the movie one more time. This movie is really one of the must-watched movies. To those who haven't seen this movie yet, you can watch this online for free. There are also other free movies to watch too so come and Watch Movies Online now for free.

Yes he does and I am so proud of him for that. The last food he cooked for us before he left Philippines was pork soup. I didn't know how he did it but it was good and I missed it. I took pictures of the pork soup that he cooked but those were stored on my Desktop's mother board (for now I am using a Toshiba laptop -with broken screen- as my CPU using my external monitor. I will post those pictures once it get my desktop's CPU working.

For now, I would like to share the latest picture of hubby that was taken by his sister which his sister herself  sent the picture to me. It's a picture of him frying the fish, his grandpa's fresh catch. Well, hope you won't mind the crazy face. Lol

Hubby is currently staying at her sister's house since his mom is way far. They visited her though but forgot about taking pictures which is fine. I know he misses his mom so much and was so excited to see her to remember of taking pictures for he haven't seen her for many years.

Hubby's sister also sent me some photos of foods they feast over when hubby arrived. His sister is kinda cool. We've talked through emails and on yahoo and I do like her humor. Anyway, here are the photos she sent to me:
She said she cooked all these as she doesn't like other people in the house cook for them. except this one time when hubby insisted to deal with their supper. The first two pictures she said are pork and chicken enchalada. You also see a bowl of rice with tomatoes in the middle. That's hubby's. Yep, he likes rice now. The last picture is a keylime pie which she said hubby have eaten all. He misses his real foods, eh? Lol.

Have you been bothered about which web hosting provider will you get for your online business? I know you are confused with the many web hosting services offered on the Internet with all those tempting promises. I, myself is bothered by it too when I decided to buy a web hosting that ended me buying only a custom domain. In addition to confusion is the thought that my online knowledge is not that ripe to aim for a higher responsibility. I heard and read though from my co-web users that there are lots of advantages in web hosting. So, if you have already decided to begin building your online business, you better get a business web hosting now. Having your online business hosted by your own business web hosting provider is more profitable and will boosts your online presence the more.

Chizka and I were away for days and just got back home today around 7 in the morning. We went to visit my parents in Manukan which is a good way to keep my mind away from thinking too much about my hubby which only make me cry. Well, I still miss him even though we are talking everyday either though emails, phone or messenger. I even talked to his sister as an assurance that hubby is doing good there since I worried too much about him. It seemed like talking to him through those means is not enough. I am still expecting and looking for his presence.

Anyway, I don't want to be too dramatic today as I've enjoyed some of my friends' company today. Two of my friends visited me today and kept me company. Also, I'm still thinking a happy thought about Chizka's first swim int he sea. It was fun seeing her swimming. She did run away from the waves many time though. I will be posting about it in my other blog tonight or tomorrow.

Antique Wall Clock, I Want One

Do you have any antique items inside your house like a wall clock? If not, do you wish to own one? Well, we do not have any antiques here in the house that's why I do want to own one, at least. I want either a grandfather's or a grandmother's clock. Or if not, I am fine with having only a simple antique wall clock as long as it chimes. It would be nice to have one or two of those rare antiques, wouldn't it? But a simple antique wall clock will surely be enough to add more drama to our already dramatic house.
These antiques are quite hard to find though as to what the name implies, antique. Sometimes the cost of a single antique can be very expensive. The cost usually causes me to fall back when it comes to buying antiques either online of offline. I remember I came across into a site that sells antiques before. The site only sells clock though of different sizes and styles, antique or new. It has all the antique and new clocks you ever wanted including grandfather's and grandmother's clock, wall clocks, mantel clock, cuckoo clock and some more. There is one that I like. It is a new clock but looks quite similar to the antique one.

Hello everyone! How was your day? I wish you all had a great Thursday morning and evening. Mine is just quite fine, just waiting for hubby's email. He might be sleeping still, don't know. Anyway, I am sharing this photo above for Shoot Me today. Sorry, it is an old photo. It's just that  I am using my Toshiba lappy as a central processing unit with external monitor, mouse and keyboard because my CPU for the desktop messed up. The memory is the possible problem, it freezes me like every after 30 minutes. The full explaination can be read here. So, the above photo is a picture of me of course back when i was 20 years old. That puppy with me is Snooppy, he is the family's puppy and was about 4 months old in the picture. He grew up into a strict dog. His brows are always knitted as if he is always mad. As to his breed, well, unknown.

Stop Opiate Addiction

Are you suffering from withdrawal caused by opiate addiction? If so, better stop that addiction before it is too late. Opiate is a kind of drug that contains opium and is classified as a narcotic sedative. It usually taken to induce sleep or to relieve pain. It depresses or inactivate your central nervous system, in effect, making you sleep or relieving your pain. Once it is taken, you can become addicted or dependent to it leading you to addiction with opiates. Being addicted to opiates can be bad as it causes withdrawal upon the discontinuation of this kind of drug. Thus, ceasing or discontinuing the use of opiate drugs is hard.
There are several programs I learned run by any concerned organizations to help people who are under opiate addiction. There is also a system called Withdrawal-Ease System that is dedicated to help those people who have Opiate Addiction in taking the first step to cease. I learned that their product, opiate withdrawal nutritional supplement, is very amazing and effective in combating physical and mental symptoms of withdrawal from opiates and totally helps an opiate dependent person to quit. Go check out this Withdrawal-Ease System now and help yourself get out from the chains of opiates!

A Doctor's Visit Today

I finally went to visit a doctor early morning today. Hubby had been suggesting me to see a doctor for advise regarding my headache but I was just too stubborn and lazy. Two days ago, I was bothered with severe headache. It was too painful that I felt like my head is going to break apart. Plus, I felt like there were bells ringing in my ears that make it more painful.
The check up went well. According to the doctor, lack of sleep is the main cause of my headache. I remember,  I didn't get that much sleep two days before my husband left. So mainly, the problem is my eyes being overused but I have a feeling that too much thinking of my husband also is one of the main reasons, because thinking of him keep me awake. I am advised to sleep at least 8 hours and drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. The doctor also suggested  me not to stay too much in front the computer as well. I should limit myself on the computer as receiving too much radiation is not good for the eyes.

So from now on, I will be following my computer schedule which is 2 hours in the morning, 3 hours in the afternoon and 3 hours at night. I will also try to sleep 8 hours a day so in total, I have 16 hours spent away from the computer. Cool! Oh, I have to take my medicines too.

Hubby's First Photo At His Sister's House

I felt so relieved after hearing from hubby yesterday that he made it safely to his sister's house. I was truly worried while he was on his trip for it was a long and tiring trip of about 20 hours. I kept on checking  his arrival time, the time difference and my email as I was anticipating for his email. I didn't even sleep at all the night before he arrived in Tulsa.  I am just glad I got an email from  him about 2 hours after he arrived at his sisters house saying he was there safe and sound but tired.

And early today at 5 am, Philippine time, hubby and I talked again and he sent me this picture of him below taken at his sister's house. This is the first photo he sent to me taken by his sister from the day we parted.

He looks gwapo (handsome) as always. I am so happy he sent me a photo of him. That way I can still feel he is with me. I miss him more now, more and more each day actually. But I believe, we will be together, in God's time.

I Break My Favorite Mirror

posted by Rechie on , , ,

Now I have a blank wall after I accidentally broke our half body sized mirror early today. I was cleaning our dusty bedroom wall where it was placed when I accidentally pushed it with my elbow, dropped it and broke. Hubby and I just bought that mirror recently and now it’s broken and is going to be dumped in the large trash bin here in the villas. It is so sad knowing I couldn’t get a good deal again for a western decor like that mirror we got. I had to bug and give the sales woman a sad face just to give us even a little bit of discount from its original price. I fell in love with its simplicity and with how its frame was finely carved. Since we got that mirror, it became my favorite and the only mirror I trust among the four mirrors we have here in the house.
Aside from being remorseful of my carelessness, I am also disturbed about this broken mirror because we have a belief here that once you break a mirror, you will suffer from bad luck for seven years. So since I just broke a mirror, it means I will be suffering bad luck. Who wouldn’t be disturbed by that? Who would want to suffer from bad luck for the long seven years? I don’t, certainly. I strongly believe this particular belief among the many beliefs passed to us by our parents which they got from the old folks. That’s why I never broke a mirror before other than this favorite mirror of mine, of all mirrors! Now, I am putting myself in the test seat for this belief. How could it be true?

Missing My Husband So Much

Hubby didn't able to use all his one month extension. The extension supposedly expires this 26th of September but hubby's tickets arrived earlier than expected which was arranged by his sister so we have no choice. He left today at 7:45 am from Mactan Airport to Tokyo and then from Tokyo to LA, Dallas and then to his family home, Tulsa.
The night before he left was very emotional. We both shed tears for that coming parting time. The fact that he was leaving totally sunk in our hearts. It made our hearts empty but heavy. The tears were unstoppable.  When I took him to the airport early morning at 5 was the hardest moment. Stopping my tears was so hard but I managed to hold a single drop not to make it hard for him to leave. I didn't went out of the taxi. He knows I don't like seeing his back to the airport. After the long kiss and the exchanging of magic words  and promises of fate and strength, I then instructed the driver to take me to the port for an early Ocean Jet voyage. I didn't cry while on the sea trip for I was entertained by the beautiful views of the islands but I cried a river when I arrived home.
For the first time being a married couple, it was the first time we parted. It was so hard, harder than before because we were together inseparably for almost three years. The pain was very overwhelming. I can't stop crying until now everytime I remember his morning greetings along with hot siopao or donuts and coffee. Looking at the every corners of our house feels so empty for I am expecting to see him there, which I used to. I am remorseful for those times I've taken him for granted, those times I was being unappreciative of him but I am cheerful for those quality times we spent together, the jokes, the laughter and all that good stuffs. I miss him terribly!
