Google It?

It’s amazing how Google became a verb. It’s true that search engines have penetrated our everyday lives so much that nowadays, instead of ‘search it on Google’, one would say ‘Google it’. I’ve heard it from friends many times and I could only smile.

As days passed, more and more people learn how to move around the Internet. They learn how to surf, to do a research and to socialize in various social networking sites. For us who live our everyday lives with Internet, we can say that Internet is a big help because through it, we can connect to our loved-ones who are miles away, can do a fast and easy online shopping, and work on thesis papers faster with the help of online search. As some people say, students in particular, life is easier with Internet.

Internet is a big help most especially to online businesses because they can gain a lot of prospective costumers on the Internet due to a vast audience. There are more reachable audiences as Internet is used around the globe. Of course, search engines play the important role in reaching costumers. Without search engines, we will never get to hop on a certain site. Some businesses find ways to track how many times their sites are searched by getting pay per click services. Through the said services, they are aware how many times they are searched and viewed and through it, they can develop their keywords and use the ones that are widely used by many audiences or by Internet users.

Just Beautiful: The Little Ladies

It is another day to show something beautiful. Today, first thing that came to my mind are these lovely ladies in the pictures below - my younger sisters.
They are just beautiful! I love this picture of them above doing thier whacky poses. I just so love these two ladies, they are my laughter supplements. When they are with me, my life is full of beauty and happiness. There is no dull moments when the three of us are together. We always have something to do to have fun and share a lot of laugh.

Above is another beautiful photo of my beautiful ladies. Beautiful ladies, that includes my beautiful Chizka. Tsk, I am sad mom  is not in the picture she could have worn her sexy pink spaghetti. Anyway, see how Chizka beautifully projected for the camera. Lol! Looking seductive with that tongue out Chiz!

You should get an idea by now as to how close we are to each other. Our relationship as sisters so far  is getting more and more beautiful each day despite Cheem's distance. I am thankful that they stayed as they are, the ever sweet and loving sisters.

Just Create A New Blog

This blog's default URL is not meant to be changed I think. I felt down after the successful migration of this blog to its custom domain. I was fine with it although I had a heavy heart thinking I just lost page rank 4. I am just thankful that I was able to talk to one of the blogging friends I have and shared me some insights about domain change. She advised that I should rather create a new blog using the custom domain so I will not lose the PR of this blog, just so although I have an additional headache, additional blog to maintain. Then Wordpress blog platform popped in my head. Why not use this custom domain that is originally for this blog to my new Wordpress blog? Hmnn..

So, today I put its default domain back, along with the PR. Thank gods its still intact! I am asking you all again to change the URL of this blog back to default. Please. I am so sorry for bugging...Thanks!

I Am Ready To Lose This Blog's PR

I checked my 1and1 account today and found out I have unused .com domain there for this blog. I forgot I registered this blog's free .com domain in 1and1 last year together with The Three Chies and Whereabouts domains. It is so forgetful of me! Now I wasted that free domain for one year. I could have already earned a PR for this blog. Tsk. Well, I think it is not too late. I wanted to export this blog to Wordpress too but I was really confused the last time I used that blog platform. So I might stick to blogger and head ahead to updating this blog's url.

Update:
This blog is finally on its own domain. To my blogging pals, please do change my blog URL in your blog list. Thank you so much!

Modern Log Cabins

A log cabin, in the olden days in America symbolizes a humble living. I could say I was born and raised in a log cabin, which was what my parents could only afford to house us four children. Our log cabin, which was our home back then was not even as lovely as the modern log cabins I see at present. Log cabins nowadays are modernized and can be used for various uses. It can be used not only as a beautiful home but also as a decoration to your garden, which they called a summer house. I visited a site with photos of finely and creatively structured log cabins that truly captured my eyes. How I wish I could own one of those modernized log cabins. I would surely have it built in the middle of a quite and scenic place to be my hideaway

The fun is finally here! Lainy's 3rd Blogoversary contest - The Gravatar Contest finally started with lots of awesome prizes to be won! Congrats Lainy for your blog's 3rd blogoversary! More to come!

I would like take this opportunity to thank Lainy for being friendly to me. We were only able to talk through blog comments and shout box messages recently. I thought she was a snob and I was very wrong. Indeed, she is friendly. I've been visiting her at her blog since last year but I never dropped a line for I was shy. I only came to visit her blog to drop my entre card and to read her post but never dared to drop comments because again, I was shy. I found her a one great writer who is very fluent in English. Reading her posts always make my nose bleed, seriously. Lainy is now my new blogging friend whether she likes it or not..he he he.

Now to her Gravatar contest. Her contest idea is really great. You might find it hard to join at first because of the long blog post but she is just being precise in giving the mechanics. If you'll really read the mechanics line by line, it is just easy....and fun. You'll just have to do a bit of archives exploration and a bit of blog work. So come and join the fun! This contest ends this April 20. To learn more about this contest, click the pretty pink button below.

The contest banner. Awesome!

Final Food Chemistry Examination

Today is my sister’s final examination in her food chemistry subject. As a final exam, she and her classmates have to cook a main dish individually. Each of them was given main ingredients to cook and it is up to them on how to create a new recipe out of it. They have to use their imagination and most importantly, their taste buds to create a new dish. They have to explore the kitchen and try to put ingredients together to cook a new food and name it. I myself found it so difficult.

My sister was given fish and cheese as the main ingredients. Being a supportive big sister as I am, I helped her think of what to make or cook. With the help of the Internet, we got a lot of ideas with what we would do with the fish and cheese. In the end, after all the searching and reading, we came up with trying baked fish with cream cheese wrapped in pie crust. Aside from fish and cream, there were also other ingredients like carrots and celery. We found the cooking instructions to easy so we stuck to it.

So last night, we tried cooking the dish that my sister was going to cook at school in front the food judges. Our Formal Dining Furniture, particularly the dining table played a great role that night as it was loaded with ingredients including a kilo of tanigue and a box of Anchor cream cheese. It’s where we did the cutting, slicing and mixing of the other ingredients as well. I let my sister do the fish and cheese while I did the pie crust. My sister did a great job. I let her do most of the cooking since she’ll be the one to demonstrate it in their school.

Today, my sister came home with a smile. She said the judges love the taste, the garnishing and the twists she did from the original recipe although the crust is a bit uncooked. Above all, she’s happy for getting the highest mark of 84. I’ll share the recipe next post.

It is Food Trip Friday again pals! It is time for all food trippers to gather together and share their photos of delicious foods. My share today is leche flan.

No, I didn't cook it. My youngest sister brought it here for me the other day when she arrived early morning from visiting our parents. I attacked it right then with coffee. It served as my breakfast. Yummy!

Anyway, I like the newly painted house of Food Trip and of course the badge. It is so cute and colorful like 'halo-halo'. Just right for summer!

iPhone, Still in the Wish List

iPhone is one of the things listed in my wish list since last year. It is still in my wish list until now for I have not gotten it yet. Although I heard and read about a lot of problems in iPhone system, it doesn’t stop my longing to own one, at least a 3g. I read one of the troubles you can face having an iPhone 3g is that it hangs up or freezes. As to my opinion, when your iPhone 3g is super loaded and almost consuming its memory, it will really hang up. It happens with other phones too, not just the Iphone. But when facing Iphone problem such as this, there are ways to fight this iPhone trouble like recharging and resetting your iPhone 3g system.

It’s a cool night here in Dipolog. It’s been raining since this late afternoon. The rain was heavy earlier and now only a shower but I am expecting it’ll drop heavy again later tonight. As I mentioned in my other blog, I switched the computer off earlier than its sleeping time last night because of the heavy rainfall accompanied by loud thunder and sharp lightning. Thunder and lightning always scare me and to think I was all alone last night because my siblings went home. Well, I am as well alone tonight so I’ll make sure I’ll sleep before heavy rain falls, lighting strikes and thunder screams.

Anyway, it’s Thursday, time to share a photo with me on it. Below is my share:

This photo was taken several weeks ago by my sister when we were left alone. Our brother at that time was at our parents' or at his girlfriend's house. My sister and I had a nice bond that night. We played computer games and when my back got tired I jumped on the bed and played the game on the phone instead. Then my sister called me and 'shoot'. She said I have to keep this photo of me as a record of me losing a bit of weight. Lol!  I have no most recent photo of me so let me just share this one. I need to take a new shoot of me to check how I progress in my journey of losing some fats off my body but I don’t feel like taking picture of myself tonight for I haven’t had a shower yet. Maybe tomorrow.

Just Beautiful: The Bible

What a beautiful day it was! My sister and I strolled around the mall whole afternoon. We did window shopping; just checking on the items we've been eying. Thanks goodness, they're still there! Then later, we had our dinner at Jollibee. We only ordered our favorites: 2 burger steaks, rice and 2 coke floats. What? We are on a tight budget!

So since I had a beautiful day today, I am super thankful to the one above. That goes with sharing you the beautiful bible that was used on my wedding day. It's beautiful, isn't it? Nothing can beat the beauty of the Bible especially to those who are earnest devotees. I as well felt like sharing you a tang about my wedding since our 3rd wedding anniversary is coming. Although my husband and I will be celebrating it apart, it will still be a joyous and memorable one. Yahoo Messenger or Skype would do a great job when that time comes.

What's With All The Mess

When you get a closer look to my work place, this is what it's like.

Wires here, there and everywhere, messy isn't it? But I need not to worry for these wires didn't bother me at work. I bet most of you know that my laptop only serves as the central processing unit and I only connected an external monitor to its VGA port.

Meaning, I am not facing the laptop but on the external monitor that is on top of my other computer desk. With all the messy wires from the laptop, there is no way I can face it without fire in my head. I hate working with mess all around but with my computer's situation, I have no choice.

A Visit To My Hometown

Many of you must have noticed my absence yesterday. For all to know, I went home to visit my parents. Aside from the fact that I missed them terribly, I as well wanted to escape from online frustrations particularly the frustrations brought by my main site. But as I was home yesterday, we all panicked when my Auntie, my mother’s eldest sister, had a minor high blood attack. I helped in taking her to the hospital in town. Thank God, everything went well at the hospital. The nurses in their nursing scrubs were too alert to look after my Aunt. So far, the mild stroke was treated immediately that she was able to go home after the check-ups and all.

While I was at the hospital accompanying my Aunt, I saw few of my nurse friends on duty. It’s been a while since the last time I stepped in the hospital in town so it felt great seeing them again moving in their scrub clothing. If you do not know yet, most of my friends are now registered nurses and taking all the benefits of being listed as RN. At long last, they finally got the fruit of their hard work being nursing students, which includes wearing nursing uniforms while treating their patients. Some are even working outside the country now and earning more on wages, while some chose to stay and serve their own land.

Account Deleted From Entrecard

I was truly saddened, still am, upon receiving this note from entercard.com:

It really was a bad news. I have more than 40,000 entrecard credits in my Chuchie's Hideaway account at entrecard. Just a few days ago, I even pledged 15,000 credits for Lainy's Musings 3rd Blogoversary and now I can no longer give the credits away. If I only knew this account would be deleted, I should have transferred the credits right then to Lainy's. The deletion was due to this blog's page redirection, which I have no idea how this blog does that.

Yesterday, after the deletion of my account, I went deeper into finding out about this third-party page redirection. I did some research regarding that matter and I was glad I found some help through it. I learned that those page redirection was from the third party software installed on this blog's html gadgets.

Another reason..let me qoute...
It has something to do with a browser hijack which redirects your blog or website to somewhere else. It probably has something to do with building traffic for a particular site in order for it to gain in popularity, or it may have something to do with redirecting to steal Google Adsense revenue or maybe for you to accidentally click on ads on the site which you have been redirected. It could also be something to do with gaining revenue through search terms and keywords using the Google search box which is then redirected as though a search has been done. Source
The words shed some light on my head. I just can't simply allow those malicious people take advantage of my blog. To get rid of this page redirection, as to what I read, I have to remove third party gadgets, which I did yesterday. I as well checked all the links added in this blog located at the "Friends' Links" tab you can see at this blog's navigation bar. So far I found a few websites in there that when I opened, a warning like "This blog is known to have malware" appears. Thanks to my browser's setting for that warning. So I deleted all those websites with malware from my list. I hope this blog is doing okay now.

If you still experience third party page redirection while viewing this blog, please do tell me. Thanks.

It's time to show up in front the camera again this Thursday. For my share, check out the photo below.

Please excuse the tipsy me. This picture was taken at Sights and Sounds, the newly opened bar and cafe in Dipolog City located along the boulevard. I love the place because it is quite decent, more decent than the bars I've been to here in this small city I currently reside. My friend Shine of Sunshine's Comfort Zone was the one who took the picture. She took a snap of me before I attacked the blow job drinks we ordered there.

Above is a photo of Chizka, my beautiful half-Pom breed at 1 year, 2 months and 16 days old. I thought of her first while looking for a shot that is "just beautiful". She is just beautiful, isn't she?

If you noticed, I tied her on the steel of the bed because she's about to have her heat cycle soon (monthly period for human, women in particular). And to avoid her from spreading her female blood around, I have to tie her. Sorry Chiz but mama had to although mama knows you don't like it.

Hard To Find Made-To-Measure Blinds

There are not so many stores here that sell blinds. Some stores do sell blinds but very limited with such item. Usually there are only about two or three blinds available. You can’t really make a selection. Sometimes, you just have to risk your cash buying the item. You would be lucky when you get home and find out the blinds fits right to your window or else be disappointed. Well, I don’t risk and just wait for better products to arrive in the next few days. But waiting sometimes could take a year. Shopping for home furniture and decors here in this place I live is just frustrating for not all items you need are available.

A friend advised me before of a better place to shop for home stuffs but I have to travel by sea for about two hours. That’s tiring and expensive! Well, to travel or to wait for nothing? When I visited the mall a month ago at the home section, I saw only a couple of roller blinds. One is too small that fits approximately on narrow doors while the other is of average width, which I felt won’t even fit on my smallest window. Then last week, I stopped by there again to check on new blinds, nothing new. It could have been better if this city has a store that sells made-to-measure blinds so buyers don’t need to travel far. I hope for it.

Pop-Up Ads and Full-Page Ads On This Blog

Three of my blogger friends now complained about this blog's pop-up ads, sometimes full-page and now a page redirection to a said "search.com" site. There were several complaints before too from other blogging friends regarding pop-ups that just suddenly pop up while they're visiting my blog. Those pop-up ads before were due to the neo counter I installed in this blog.  I even tried viewing my blog before on husband's laptop and it did pop up annoying ads. After uninstalling or taking the neo counter off my gadget, the pop-up ads also went away. So, it was resolved.

Today though, this blog again has a problem. It does third party page redirection. I have no idea how and why this blog does that. Two of my friends (thanks a bunch sissies) said they were redirected to "search.com" when viewing this blog. I did some research about page redirection and the problem must be in the widgets. And to solve this problem is to remove those widgets or to clear and change the template. But I choose the first option as I have no plan to change my blog template yet.

So today, I cleared the newly placed gadgets/widgets on my sidebar - the page view counter and the blog grader. I hope there is no more page redirection now. Please do tell me in comment or in the shout box if this blog still does third party page redirection. Please...please!

Who can stand annoying pop-up ads while surfing the net? I bet no one. Imagine conducting a research for your thesis paper when suddenly an ad pops up. I would surely be annoyed by that distraction. I am glad a popular extension which was originally created for Firefox named Adblock Plus is now available for Google Chrome as Chrome is the browser I’ve used for three years now. This new extension of Chrome, which is Adblock Plus, can automatically block all ads including pop-ups without distraction. Because of that, you can now browse on Chrome faster and safer. Install Chrome Adblock now for free and enjoy the benefit of a safer and faster browsing.

Two of my closest friends since high school visited me the other day. It was fun bonding with them again as I've been alone and lonely these past few days. We had a long girls' chat over a bottle of wine. Thanks Shine for the Carlo Rossi red wine. She knows it's my favorite.

Netz and Shine

Thanks for visiting me girls. I had fun chatting with you two.

Shine brought a bottle of red wine. Thanks Shine for bringing along my favorite.

Here's the three of us. Photo was taken by my sister before she left to visit our parents.

Later that night, Shine and I were left alone. It's when we thought of going out to sing. Netz had to leave before 9:00 that night to Manukan because she had a job the next day. I thank her for travelling almost an hour just to come over to help us finish the wine. Lol! To Shine, thanks for taking your precious just to visit me.

Enjoying The Tinted Windows at Home

I am enjoying our tinted windows at home especially during day time because I see the view and people passing by outside yet people can’t see me inside. There were times when by-passers would stop by our window to use it as mirror unaware that I am watching. I enjoy watching them fixing their hair and checking their posture totally unaware they are seen from inside. Another thing I like about tinted windows is that it can block radiant rays of sun. Since my computer is placed by the window facing the morning and afternoon sun, I usually get hot rays of sun every morning until the early afternoon. Good thing I got tinted windows that block it. If you want tinted windows too, go for Tint Orlando. I heard it is the best place to get tinted windows in Orlando and they do excellent job in installing.

Hubby Worries About Tsunami and the New Yahoo Mail Beta

Yes, I started using the new yahoo mail yesterday, the Yahoo! Mail Beta. The use of if so far was good. I like the color, purple and the new way of reading the mail, which opens a new window/tab inside your yahoo mail. I like the use of yahoo instant messaging too but the problem is, you can't write a custom message on your status unlike the old yahoo mail messenger. My husband and I when online on YM, we have custom message on. I used to use my custom message saying "busy talking to my hunkie, don't bug me" or "busy talking to hubby but sponsors can bug me". Other than the absence of custom message, I see no other problem. I am liking the new Yahoo! Mail Beta.

Check out hubby's custom status message.

Now for my husband's worries over tsunami heading my way, it kept him awake since 2:00 a.m (his time). He was trying to contact me around that time, which was around 5:00 p.m. here in the Philippines. At that time I was downstairs watching the news. His mom and sister was worried too as they were the ones who saw the news on TV and woke hubby up to inform him. SIL contacted me first as hubby's computer screwed up and failed to start up right away. Here are the messages:

Due to panic I think that SIL didn't able to finish her message
and just sent the message right away hoping to hear from me.

This is the second message I received from her worrying.

Finally hubby got to email me. I do understand his worries.
I am so touched and sad at the same time that
this tsunami made them feel worried about me and my family.

Yesterday, our household was indeed wrapped in fear because of what happened to Japan. Plus there were reports that tsunami is heading to Philippine east coast. Although we are along north coast, if the said tsunami is a destructive one, we'll surely be affected especially my parents and relatives in my hometown who are living nearby shore. My grandma lose consciousness last night after watching the news about Japan on TV and the warning about tsunami to arrived Philippines around 9:00. I didn't sleep until 1:00 a.m. I was  contacting my parents all along to check their safety and at the same time checking the latest news online.

List of Philippine provinces that are said to be affected are Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Cagayan, Isabel (hit by the first wave of tsunami, thank God was only slight wave), Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte and Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Northern and Eastern Samar, Sorsogon, Northern Leyte, Leyte, Surigao Del Sur and Del Norte, Davao Oriental and del Sur.

As of today, we are all glad that the tsunami waves didn't bring even a bit of destruction to Philippines. We are still on the alert level until tomorrow. If no big waves hit east coast tomorrow (we strongly hope), then we are all safe.

FTF: My Version of Pork Adobo

It is time again to share our food trip. For my share today, here are photos of my version of pork adobo, which I prepared when Cheem was here. Having her here who visits me very seldom, it is just right to serve her something special. And the only special menu I thought of serving her was this pork adobo, a Dry Pork Adobo and Fried Egg. I hope you like the sight of it.

I boiled the the pork first and and the sliced potatoes. When boiling was done, I set the potatoes on the plate and marinated the pork in soy, vinegar, a bit of salt, a bit of round and ground black pepper, ground onions and ground garlic for about 15-20 minutes. Then I sauteed it on chopped onions and garlic with on a bit of corn oil. Since the pork is already boiled, I only did a quick sauteeing and stir frying. I put it off the fire right after the meat produced a bit of sauce from frying. Then I fried the egg and sliced it and put them together in a plate. A sumptuous dinner of The Three Chies then followed.

When Looking for a Cuckoo Clock, Look for SINIX

Do you have a cuckoo clock at home? Or are you even familiar with this kind of clock? I am quite familiar with this kind of clock because my grandmother owns one although hers is no longer working. If you’re not, I am pretty sure your grandparents or great grandparents have. I am as well sure they know how special this kind of clock is.

A Cuckoo Clock is a kind of clock that cuckoos or commences a cuckoo call every hour with the use of its timekeeping element, a pendulum. One that I know of due to its popularity is the grandfather clock, like that of my grandmother’s. There are also grandmother clocks and wall clocks. Traditionally, they are made with wood decorated with leaves carvings and have pendulum swing. These are precious kind of clocks and precious as it is, they are quite costly.
SINIX World Class Wall Clock
Cuckoo clocks have lived for so many years now because even until now, we can see them displayed in some houses, working or not, sometimes serves only as a decoration. They are kept and treasured as precious gifts of the earlier centuries. Nowadays, cuckoo clocks continued to grab buyers’ attention because of their amiable appearance especially now that they are modernly carved and designed.

One company that manufactures cuckoo clocks is SINIX, which was established in 1998 and gained popularity by making cuckoo clocks. SINIX manufactures more than 300 varieties of clocks, from big grandfather clocks to small wall clocks and digital clocks, all with exceptional quality. Due to unique approach in design and quality to costumer service, SINIX achieved an award in Korea International Trade Association back in 2005, a one million dollar export award.

As of the present, SINIX does not only export in Korea but also to other places like Europe, Middle East, South America, and Southern East Asia. If you are interested to buy a cuckoo clock, I may suggest looking for a SINIX brand. You can check SINIX cuckoo clocks at http://sinix.en.ecplaza.net.  SINIX has about 15 types of uniquely designed cuckoo clocks that are made with wooden case and Poly urethane carvings. SINIX cuckoo clocks have hourly cuckoo or doll alarms with melody, and night shut off functions as well as off, low, hi cuckoo volume control.

As promised here are more photos taken at our reunion. This post continues my share last week on "shoot me".

When it comes to food, I won't back out. I am always the first to attack the table then later on do some counter attacks to hit the spot big time. I applied those said attacks on our reunion, of course.
Well, I have a reason why I filled my stomach good that day because I know there'll be a lot of drinking to do. Alcohol drinking to be exact. Here are some more photos:
It was fun meeting with my cousins, exchanging hellos and how are yous, and then getting drunk. We started drinking "The Bar" gin, then beer, then gin again and rhum and then gin. We finished drinking around 2 in the morning from the time we started which was after lunch. I was freaking drunk that I threw up and felt like almost throwing up my throat. In the morning I woke up in mom's room and I did not know how I got there.

Howdy! This is my first participation to a beautiful meme named "Just Beautiful". Beautiful as it is, I am sharing a beautiful view from a window in our bedroom today.

Aside from the beautiful view, my glass vase and the orchids from my garden are also beautiful. This is what I see everyday when I lay on bed because it is facing the window. This view welcomes me to a new beautiful day everytime I wake up in the morning. During night time, this view is covered with white curtains.
