Bonding With Dopie

posted by Rechie on ,

My siblings took Dopie with them yesterday here. Since classes are already done, my siblings can visit us here every time they want and not just every Friday or Saturday. I was so happy they took Dopie with them and I was happier that Dopie is not scared with my husband anymore. My husband was so happy because of that as well because among the kids in town, only Dopie run away everytime he saw hubby.

Dopie, if I am not mistaken, is my third or fourth degree nephew but we are very close to him and to his family. We love him so much and we are showing it to him in spite of the fact that he has that knot between his eyes. That knot was born with him. I can sense that sometimes he gets shy with that knot and he will probably be feeling more inferiority when he grows up.

We took him to the mall yesterday. He was so happy; I can see the happiness in his eyes. We bought him toys and clothes. Toys, of course, are the only happiness for little ones. I bought him some munches as well because I know he will be asking us one peso which he named “sinco” to buy candies and crackers. So, I stored the foods I got for him in the fridge and whenever he comes downstairs from asking hubby “sinco” I just ask him to buy candies and some munches inside the fridge. After he gets what he wants from the fridge, he is giving me the “sinco” (1 peso) as payment. It was cute.

First Day of Summer Class

posted by Rechie on

Yes, I still have a class. I am taking summer class and it started today. It will probably be 2 months headache for me. I am taking English 12 because I dropped it last year or should I say the teacher dropped me because I was always absent. I didn’t attend the class on purpose. The reason – the teacher scared me enough to make me pee on my pants. I couldn’t handle the Hitler look and attitude. When I decided to enroll for summer class, I was hoping that the teacher who handled me last year will not be the same teacher for the English class this summer. God, I was so glad He answered my wish….but…..my English teacher this time is worst than last year. I couldn’t believe it; first day of class she scolded us. She talks right on the spot to the extent of humiliating the students. If you have seen me how panicked I was sitting on my chair almost breathless staring at the scolding terror professor in front. The reason why she got mad was because she saw two students gossiping while she was talking. I understood that it can be her reason to get mad but hello, one word should be enough for the students to understand that she don’t like it when we are talking while she is talking. There’s no need to raise your voice to get the students’ attention or to get her point known. There’s no need to cuss the students and humiliate them. Oh well, she is just doing her job because a teacher is supposed to be like that to discipline the students. To her madness, she dismissed us very early. At least I know now that she is as bitch as that. I’ll try my best to just listen to her during her class instead of listening to my gossiping classmates. It is for my own sake. Now, I am challenged and not scared.

Ring Tag

This tag is from Demcy and Grace. Thank you so much sisters for sharing this

wonderful Ring Tag to me.

Why should the wedding ring be worn on the fourth finger? There is a beautiful and convincing explanation given by the Chinese.....

*Thumb represents your Parents
*Second (Index) finger represents your Siblings.
*Middle finger represents your-Self.
*Fourth (Ring) finger represents your Life Partner.
*Last (Little) finger represents your children.

Firstly, open your palms (face to face), bend the middle fingers and hold them together - back to back.
Secondly, open and hold the remaining three fingers and the thumb - tip to tip. (As shown in the figure below):

Now, try to separate your thumbs (representing the parents)..., they will open, because your parents are not destined to live with you lifelong, and have to leave you sooner or later. Please join your thumbs as before and separate your Index fingers (representing siblings)...., they will also open, because your brothers and sisters will have their own families and will have to lead their own separate lives.
Now join the Index fingers and separate your Little fingers (representing your children)...., they will open too, because the children also will get married and settle down on their own some day. Finally, join your Little fingers, and try to separate your Ring fingers (representing your spouse). You will be surprised to see that you just CANNOT

because Husband & Wife have to remain together all their lives - through thick and thin!! Please try this out and pass............. ISN'T THIS A LOVELY THEORY?

I would like to just keep this tag because I know that this have been shared to many already around the blogosphere.

Wow, I was gone in blogging again yesterday. I attented my goddaughter's 1st birthday happened today at 3:00 p.m. in Manukan, my hometown. I went home last friday and stayed for a night at mom's house to bond with my siblings. I left my husband here in the Dipolog because he didn't feel like going. Now, I just got back from Manukan. After an hour of jeepney ride finally I am here in front of my computer.

Anyway, this actually is my post for photohunt. Today's theme is "hands", so here I am showing you my thought for today's theme. The picture above as you can see, husband and I held each other's hand so tight after we put on our rings. The picture was cropped from the original picture below.

Internet Disconnection

posted by Rechie on

First of all I would like to say thank you to all my blogging friends here who keep visiting this blog inspite of my absences. You must be wondering why I was absent for three days again. The reason was the internet connection. Believe it or not, we got disconnected because we were not able to pay our 3 months Internet bill. We were not thinking about it those days I was sick and when I got better we were over excited that it was again forgotten. Our Internet connection was disconnected last Friday and that day the Smart Wireless Center was close so we were not able to pay. So, we have no choice but wait until Monday. Just a while ago I was bitching on the telephone why I haven't got my connection back yet to think that I have paid already. Darn, I couldn't believe how I missed blogging a lot that I can't wait. Opps. Sorry, I missed my blogs and my blogging sisters and friends.

Bartholin's Cyst vs. Hisbicus Flower

posted by Rechie on

I am so sorry my co-blogger for being absent in the blogosphere for about three days. My bartholin’s cyst grew back. This time I never went to the doctor. I was thinking, for what would I go to the doctor? The last time I got it checked by the doctor, it took almost one month to heal. This time the swollen only took three days and it just popped at three in the afternoon today. My mom brought me magic medicine, red Hibiscus flower. She ground it, set in the freezer for a chill and then applied the ground and chilled flower to the cyst. Aw, I always freak out every time I put the ground and chilled flower on my cyst because it was working. After 3 days, popped! Now, I am accepting the fact that bartholin’s cyst will be visiting me in surprise but this time I have the magic healer. Now I am back and will be making up all my absences.

2. I started working hard works at the age of 16 after my mother left home to go to Manila for her work application outside the county. I was working as an all around maid (nanny and a housemaid at the same time). I do all the house works being the only worker. I wash clothes while looking after the baby, everything with only 1000.00 pesos salary every month.
3. I started smoking at the age of 17.
4. I dance on the balance beam when I was in grace 6. Darn, I couldn't forget that. Now, I do not even know how to dance on the wide floor.
5. I used to be my sibling's savior. I saved them from my parents' painful discipline. One thing I couldn't forget was that "dos por dos" that supposed to land on my brother's butt but I took it. It got my pants wet with my own pee.

The Husband Store

posted by Rechie on ,

Our school newspaper was released this afternoon. While I was scanning through the pages, an article about the Husband Store which they only got from the internet awaken my curiosity. Is there such store as Husband Store? Why are these men selling themselves? They have no work and just decided to let thier wives-to-be feed them? So, to answer my questions, I read the whole story. I would like to share it to you too. Hope you'll enjoy reading.

A new "Husband Store" has just opened in New York City that sells husbands. When women go to choose a husband, they must follow the instructions posted at the entrance: "You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are 6 floors and the value of the husbands increase as you ascend the flights. You may choose any husband from a particular floor, or may choose to go up to the next floor but you CANNOT go back down, except to exit the building!"

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband.
On the 1st floor, the sign on the door reads: "Floor 1 - These men Have Jobs."
The 2nd floor sign reads: "Floor 2 - These men Have Jobs and Love Kids."
The 3rd floor sign reads: "Floor 3 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids and are extremely Good Looking."

"Wow," she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.
She goes to the 4th floor and sign reads: "Floor 4 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Good Looking and Help With Housework." "Oh, mercy me!" she exclaims, "I can hardly stand it!"

Still, she goes to the 5th floor and sign reads: "Floor 5 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Good Looking, help with Housework and Have a Strong Romantic Streak." She is so tempted to stay, but can't resist going on.

She goes to the 6th floor and the sign reads: "Floor 6 - you are visitor 31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store."

Some women are like the woman in the story and some are not. So, better watch out men.

Special Women of My Life

posted by Rechie on ,

Happy Women's Day to all the women around the globe espcially to all my blogger friends here around the blogosphere. I am celebrating here in my page the special day of the three special women in my life. They are none other than my beloved mother and my two lovely sisters. I know my "thank you" is not enough to pay all the tender loving care my mother showered me when I was just a mere sucking baby until I have grown up into a disobedient teenager and have became a good adult with dreams and goals in life. Now that I am married, she kept recalling to me "Know what, when you were just a little one, I used to wake up in the middle of the night to check on you. I was not giving permission to any mosquitos to fly around you nor to touch even the tip of your hair. That's how much I love you." My mama kept telling me things about motherhood. She's sure I am going to be a mommy someday and she wants me to be ready for that serious and honorable responsibility. Thank you so much Ma for making my head straight and stay focused on the goals I have in my life. Thanks for being my inspiration; thank you for being my Mama. I love her so much with all my heart.

I would like to say thank you to my youngers sisters as well for being there for me always, not just being my sisters but also being my confidantes, my best friends. I remember way back when we were just little kids, we used to sing our favorite song with our only brother. The song that we used to sing, if going to be translated in English it goes like this: " We will be together thru the stream of life, We will be true friends for the rest of our lives." I am so honored for having these three special women in my life who are filling my world with joy and love.

1. I am short, I only stand 4’ 9”.
2. I really dreamed of having a foreigner husband when I was young. I actually have many foreign pen friends before but most of them live inside the jail. LOL.
3. I hate Mathematics and actually Mathematics hates me. When it comes to numbers, I quit.
4. I used Mane and Tails shampoo and conditioner to maintain my long and silky hair. To those who know what mane and tale shampoo is for, please do not laugh.
5. I am the big/eldest sister in the family but I am the shortest and people actually said I look younger than my sisters. Lol. Hope my little babies will not read this post.
6. Coke is my water. I only drink about a glass of water everyday unless my hubby forces me to drink. Coke, darn, I can drink more than a liter.
7. Currently addicted to blogging and scrapping…and making money.

7 Unspectacular Quirks:
1. Overbearing protectiveness for the family. I act more than a mom in our family and I care my parents more like their mother.
2. My ability of farting/passing gas even my husband is around.
3. Oversensitivity to odors. I smell everything, which includes my hubby’s armpit, my armpit and everything in and outside the house then complain either the smell is good or not.
4. Consistently late. I just can never be on time. Whether I wake up as early as the roosters call the morning dews I still go to school or go to meetings at least 30 or more minutes after the given time.
5. Fear of the crowd. I don’t like it when I am surrounded with many people especially when I do not know them.
6. I think a lot more than my age.
7. Love of music. I don’t know if this is usual to others but our radio in our room is on almost 24 hours. Can’t live and sleep without music.
